Finance/Crypto Crypto Megathread v38 - BTC 100k watch. You got lucky and it's just a bubble!

I have about 4k worth. Hoping it doubles by year end. But with crypto, you never know.

Awesome buddy

With the XRP ETF coming it most likely will jump I say right now now where it's at it can only go up from here

Just be patient with it don't panic sell it took 10+ years for bitcoin to hit $100k just remember that

Stay up to date on what you have in your portfolio as it can change at any moment

Exactly I am being cautiously optimistic. I don’t expect it to hit 500 anytime soon like in the “XRP army are proclaiming”

Don't wait too long either. The next bear is going to be brutal.

You won't know when it's going to hit till it hits. Till it happens, everyone is going to be still calling for all time highs.

Today’s the day for the Fed

Would be a pleasant surprise for a .50 cut

I'm pretty worried about the bear market. I've "made" 100% on my crypto this year, but technically haven't made anything b/c I haven't sold. Ya, it's great to see my number go up and up but still, I'm so worried I'm gonna miss that huge run into "life changing money".

I'm seriously considering changing my strategy to a much more risky one. Take my money, let's just call it $100k for ease of math, and sell it all now. And then just try to jump in and out for 10-15% gains, selling and then reentering with my original money plus my earnings and hoping for a consistent 10% gain each buy/sell. I figure I can keep rolling it forward and gain real money that way, not just paper money.

My only concern (and it's a big one!) with that is that I'm currently not smart enough or good enough at it...lol. I'd just be guessing following the basic trends. I think the best method I've seen from the past is to go contrarian. When the buzz is "all time high, $250k by end of year", it's time to sell. When everyone is saying crypto is dead at $30k, it's time to load up.

I do have BTC ETF in my IRA and ROTH that I'm just DCA and gonna hold that for 20+ years as well, so that's my long term play.

Looks like the rate cut didn’t really do much as it was already priced in

Wondering if ETH has room to grow or will just get knocked down from 5k again

Ten year treasury is going up of course. Traders worried as the short term rates goes goes down it's just going to make inflation worse.

Terminal ill developer rug pulls: 'I have 120 hours to live..'

"On Sept. 17, a crypto trader said that he had been “rugged by a disabled dev” behind a memecoin called 120 Hours (120), launched on a popular Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun.

In a post shared by X user, who goes by the pseudonym @Evecoins, seen by thousands, the user claimed the developer said he had only 120 hours to live, that trading fees would go to his family, and that he didn’t know what a rug pull was. Then liquidity was drained, the dev went offline, and the coin evaporated."
