Sorry but this is the truth.

You will never LW,WW,MW,LHW,HW be able to do that, because is a retarded style when you are not facing a manlet.

In real man weight classes, you have actual KO power...Dominick gets hit even if it's not that often, with his hands down, if it was in LW or above, he would've been brutally KO'd already.

This jumping around bullshit footwork with hands down and loopy punches against similar height/taller opponents, will simply be a disaster in higher weight classes.

Gladly for him, he is facing Manlet bantamweight with no power.

Another thing...Dominick Cruz style will not work with great taller fighters, I repeat great(inb4 an idiot brings in some Can he beat years ago)....Those loopy punches will not work with a taller opponent, he will get hit.

He has been facing manlets who are way shorter than him, thus it worked.

Thus his style is terrible.

Whats with all the Cruz hate? He still looked awesome in that fight, Cody was just better. Stop hating man

it's always been the case. Dominick's success is due to him fighting guys he had a huge reach/height advantage on for his entire UFC career:

Charles Valencia - 5ft3
Ian McCall - 5ft5
Joseph Benavidez - 5ft4
Brian Bowles - 5ft6
Scott Jorgensen - 5ft5
"Trius" Johnson - 5ft3
Uriah Faber - 5ft5
TJ Dillashaw - 5ft6

This was the 1st guy he's fought that's taller than 5ft7. let that sink in.

and the rest of guys he fought punches like this:

Cruz is just slowing. His style is completely dependent on his physical attributes of speed and quickness. Just like Roy Jones Jr. He's just hit the point where he slowed just enough to where he is hittable.

:45 RJJ, who fought as high as heavyweight, does the Cruz shuffle.

1:15 looks exactly like the way cruz fights.

LMFAO LMFAO

RJJ doesnt throw crappy punches like cruz and his movement is not stupid..It's actually good unlike Cruz awkward crap.

Cruz style is still a tricky puzzle to solve because there are still very few MMA fighters with really good boxing not just at bamtamweight but in all divisions. Now you see guys like Conor exposing this if they can avoid takedowns. He just ran into a guy with solid boxing and was faster than him.

If there was a guy with Cruz style at say MW or WW that guy would dominate because those divisions have no fighter with natural boxing ability.

Bro Cruz gets hit.....he gets hit by manlets, he gets hit when he has huge height/reach advantage.

At MW or WW....A fighter with cruz style facing similar heigh/reach opponents will get KO'd when he throws those loopy punches because of KO power.

You talking like Cruz is 6 ft or some shit. Are you stupid? Cruz is only 5'7 u mongoloid. Jones is so much taller than most he's fought so that does mean he's not good??

He rarely gets hit flush because he is constantly moving his head. He doesn't take the full impact of shots. You act like every MW or WW has one punch KO power LOL. You have no clue what you are watching.

BTW I picked Cody to beat Cruz because I said that low hand style, loopy punches would not work against a guy with boxing experience who is fast as fuck. Cruz would still beat everyone in that division bar Cody.

Cruz looks like a 5' Tim Sylvia mixed with Michael Phelps

You know when GSP lost to Hendricks you heard things like this

"This is the first time GSP fought a great wrestler, with proper striking"

"Exposed and overrated"

Hendricks is now heading for Bellator or the local MMA circuit. One great fight does not make a legend. Lets see where Cody goes from here..

Bro he gets hit by small ass manlets.

A similar size opponents from a real weightclass will hurt him badly.

His movement is pretty good, it's unpredictable, but only if his opponents play in to it. Cody was happy to counter, which really threw Cruz off. Cody fought a great fight, lets see if more fighters can do the same thing, TJ could. I wonder if Lineker could without getting taken down.

I guess you just ignored the 2-3 years before that fight where Johny destroyed everyone he fought.

Yeah, that's the first guy he fought taller than 5'7, if you don't count the 30 percent of his career that he spent as a LW and FW. Mizugaki was 5'7, too, coming off a five fight win streak, and had more reach than cruz.
