Cross training Karate with Boxing took a long time for the muscle memory to sort out

I've been doing boxing for a long time, then I move to Karate (Shorin Ryu).

Hard to let go of Boxing habits, my shoulder raises everytime I throw a punch.

I always overextended everytime I threw a punch, which will make you vulnerable to a kick or countered with a takedown in Karate.
