I have about 9 years of experience with Shotokan Karate, 4 years of Taekwondo training, and about a year of casual boxing training somewhere in the mix, though I have never done a competitive fight. I focused more on kata and less on fighting.

I switched Kyokushin about 6 months ago because a.) full contact fighting seems fun, b.) I hate protective gear, and c.) I don't want CTE.

Please roast my technique but be gentle on my mid-20s receding hairline.

You got power, the kicking technique is pretty good, straights are ok - they are karate style, your hook and upercuts are technically awful. Also it´s easier to look good in a 2 shot edit video than doing a full round. You need to post whole 3 minute rounds for feedback.

Your hook / upercut technique is expectedly bad as a tkd / karate guy who only dabbled in boxing. You move your head with it and don´t know how to place your body with the shots. Looks extremely unnatural.

nothing wrong with any of it. It takes about 2 classes to learn how to strike considering they have trained monkeys to do karate. Putting your gameplan together and reading Your opponent will come in time with sparring and bag work.

Thanks for the feedback!
How would I place my body with the shots properly?

You need to learn to box. You can throw karate straights. You can't box. I can not give you boxing skills by writing a chat message on sherdog.

Wow 2 classes. There's levels my white friend. 2 classes 😂😂😂😂

I´m obviously not a pro fighter and you said you got 9 years Karate experience. I just answered the question on feed back. Obviously it´s just my opinion. Coaches at a good gym will always be the better source to ask.
