International Creator of ‘Father Ted’ arrested by 5 armed cops upon landing in the UK over social media posts

I mean its in the Quran as well. Crazy book and religion. And yes i know you're being sarcastic. At least my head hopes you are.

I am

I think the special religious protections they get are absolutely fn ridiculous. The fact that we tolerate any nonsense from them in our countries and will sacrifice our own beliefs to try to keep them from getting violent is pathetic.

It's not respect. It's fear. And it also shouldn't matter in the slightest how offensive it is if it's 1 true and 2 said in a place that says it has freedom of speech.

Fucked a 9 year old girl... fuck that guy and anyone who's got a problem with having it pointed out

Now I'm catholic and to be fair our books got all kinds of bullshit going on in it too ....but you're allowed to point it out, mock it and say hey man wtf and no one's gonna arrest you for blasphemy or strap a bomb and come to your place of work. That's western values and how it is supposed to work.

If the west ditches it's values to make migrants and minorities happy..... where in the world will freedom exist and where will people go to flee oppression?

The whole world has gone spastic. A guy being detained and refused entry to the US because he had a pic of a fat Futon Fondler and a Brit punk band refused entry because they (not threatening) they said some stuff aboutPrincess Papaya Pussygrabber Porcini Pecker is fucked up.

That's normal because its a non citizen or some excuse.

Americans are just as scared of words but talk tough.

@Siver!

You live there. This bullshit or is this true?

From across the pond over here it looks to me like you guys are living in some kind of dystopia surveillance state
Yeah, let’s trust a retard who had a mental breakdown over posts on a Karate forum instead of JK Rowling and one of Britain’s oldest media outlets.

I go on Twitter most days so I imagine if I went to the UK they would have the expedited trial with the wigclad cuck sentencing me to 20 years lol

I thought it probably was true

I wanted to hear an English leftists thoughts\justification on it. Unfortunately he didn't have that much to say.

We should totally colonize them and then tax the shit out of them to pay our own debts but not let them have and political representation.

To be honest, I doubt we'd notice much of a difference.

Sadly, yes it's true.

He was arrested by FIVE armed police, taken in handcuffs to a police station and interviewed under caution. He was released on bail, under the condition he did not make any further posts on X.

This video is by a practicing English barrister who points out just how fucking stupid the police's actions were,

They've been averaging THIRTY ARRESTS PER DAY in the UK for Online speech.

I think the US should start bombing the Freedom into them.

Thanks mate.

It's nice to know that people want me dead.

This is INSANE if true.

It's true. All of it.

It is getting pretty crazy here. Even Wikipedia is having to fight our government, they will be forced to identify and age check contributors and restrict certain pages etc. Some sites are just blocking the UK entirely rather than complying so almost everyone here uses a VPN but the gov are looking for ways to restrict VPN usage as well. It's also true that real crime is barely investigated, police don't care about assaults, burglaries etc but will send entire squads to your house if you write a mean tweet.

Problem is that most major political parties support censorship so there isn't much choice. Our gov did back down on trying to force Apple to hand over USA citizen data on demand though so maybe there's hope.

You could have asked an actual expert - IE me.

Yes it true. We now have 3 pieces of law that undermine free speech, S127 of the 2003 Communications Act, the 1988 Malicious communications Act and 1997 Harassment Act.

All 3 cover acts/behaviours which are intended to cause harm or are grossly offensive, indecent or menacing. The issue with all is interpretation as all were written prior to Twitter and were designed for threatening phone calls, texts letters etc.

Over the past 20 years there has a been an insidious creep of 'perceived harm' where it is the so called victim who can dictate the intention of a publication rather than an impartial arbitrator.

The Conservative government really spear headed this with the Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) Which dictated the police must record to investigate not investigate to record. Prior to this if a report came in that was patently malicious, police could tell the person to fuck off. Now they are forced to record a crime and then forced to investigate and deal like any other crime - hence why Linehan was arrested.

The irony of the situation is that the 2003 legislation was introduced in part by Labour to deal with Islamic hate preachers such as Abu Hamza who were preaching on the streets of London for white people to be murdered. That legislation has now been turned on the native population.

TBH this is where having zero social media really helps. I was never much one for public political posts, but it's really nice not even dipping my toes into the shitpile of online discussion.

Well, outside of this one I mean...
