You show a guy going about his life, playing xbox and eating cheetos
He walks out of his house and has his headphones in, it's late fall and he has a coat on. He's looking at the ground as he walks. We see a shot of the concrete sidewalk he's walking on, like a POV shot, the camera shows concrete square after square until the frame comes to a key.
There is a large key just sitting dead in the middle of the sidewalk. The guy, lets call him Ray, stops for a second. He looks around in both directions and there's nobody around. There's no doors in this area of the city that would be unlocked with something like that. Where the fuck did this key come from?
Ray picks the key up and looks at it. As soon as he touches it he hears a young girl laughing at him. Ray is startled and looks around but sees nothing.
Later that night Ray is alone in his small, ugly little bachelor apartment. The key is in his coat, on the ground. The room is pitch black. He starts to hear a woman laughing again. Ray is startled out of bed and looks around the room. He notices his apartment door is bright, and shining. He hears a woman laughing behind the door. He turns on the lights and looks around the room. The room is empty, but Ray hears a woman pawing at the door, whispering something. She sounds kind of hot. He walks towards the door in his pajamas and notices a bright shining white light coming from the peep hole. He puts his eye to it but the light is blinding.
He steps back and hears the laughing again. He says out loud "this is a dream!" and reasons that since he's in a dream, he should just open the door. He tries, but it's locked - from the inside. He turns away from the door and sees that the windows in his apartment are gone, replaced with paintings of keys. "A dream" he says again. He takes the hint from his windows and reaches inside his coat for the key. He puts it into the lock and turns it.
