Social Crazy Christians: Pastors Defy COVID Restrictions [UPDATE: (Cis, White) Gays Behaving Badly]

Damn, I thought the OCNJ beach was crowded this weekend.

I think I actually prefer Memorial Day over the 4th as a holiday. Maybe it's just the weather because the breeze is actually still kind of cool here in late May. It was almost too hot to even get in the fucking pool this weekend.

John Ritenbough explains it like this:

Matthew 16:18, the word Jesus used for "church" is ekklesia (Strong's #1577), and it is so translated in the King James Version 115 times. This Greek word means "an assembly" or "a group of people called together for a purpose." It contains no implication at all of sacredness or holiness."

However, in the Bible the word "church" never refers to a building or to worship services held within the building. It always refers to the assembly, group, or congregation of called-out ones who belong to the Lord, worship Him, and fellowship with others of the same mind."

Can it be argued that church services follows the Biblical Sabbath? Doesn't your average church contain engraven images and display pagan symbology? Doesn't your average church ask you for tithes in the form of money? Doesn't the aversge church have self-annointed preachers and pastors leading service? All of that goes against the Most Highs commandments so surely this can't be what Matthew is referring to.

The seven churches of Asia are seven called out groups of people who serve the Most High together.

A church is a modern temple for Christians, is it not?

Graven images? Showing reverennce for Saints and Mother Mary isn't the same as worship. In Exodus 25:18-21 and Numbers 21:8-9 there are examples of images being built for the glory of God by Moses himself.

The commandement goes like this:

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments."

We are not to make engraven images for ourselves. If He tells us to do something for Him well thats a different story. He didn't want us making engraven images and likenesses of things for ourselves because He knew we would eventually bow down and worship them.

Yes, a church is a modern temple. But doesn't God build His own temples through His own Kings and prophets? Are we supposed to be erecting any old temple in His name while decking it out with statues, paintings, crosses, and alters?

It's been really muggy around me, which is typical for July in PA. Humidity sucks.

I love camping around Memorial Day or Labor Day, 4th of July has traditionally been an at-home family BBQ for me since as far back as I can remember. I used to host a huge Independence Day blowout for my family and friends, did it for 10 years after taking over the reigns from my Great Aunt.

I had to stop because by like 5pm I'd be delirious drunk and belligerent from grilling in hot & muggy weather all day. And my house would always get trashed, my toilet would get fucked up every year.

Just recently did we start going to the beach for the 4th instead, my girl and our two kids. Much less stressful.

Not good..

I am beggining to kegit worry that we aint seen shit yet.

I keep joking that mankind is not out of the woods yet. This thing could still turn into zombies. It's funny right up until the moment it's not.

You really need to understand the difference between idolatry and religious veneration.

Is the Vicar in that picture praying to the statue or is he praying to God? Only Jesus knows whats in a mans heart. Same thing I told Ripskater: If you read Matthew 22:38-40 then there is no room in ones life for being a Christian Takferi.

Ok, whats the difference?

There was a time when some Sranc got in my face while I was walking home. I wanted to break his jaw. Instead I gripped the rosary in my pocket and walked away. I considered it a major victory.

Did the rosary give me special powers to make me immune to the taunts of some drunk ass Sranc? Or did it just serve as a physical clear annd present reminder to obey the Supreme Commandment?

Can you understand the difference now?

You talk disparagingly about "self-appointed prophets" and I can see your point. There's been alot of bad priests, ministers, and even popes. But you are postioinng yourself as a "self-appointed judge". At the same you are ignoring the fact that the human element transcends all tribalism if you take people at a case by case basis.

Remove the spritual blinkers from your eyes and stop leannig so heavily on dogma. Focus the effect of what person does- the meat his matter as it pertains to our Lord instruction- instead of obssessing over the garnish (how he prays, the kinnd of church he prays in).

Niether you or me can truly judge another mans heart, yet you insist on being self-appointed judge of other Christians. The Christ-body is not a static thing, not all hands or legs. It's an evolving aspect of many tradition and cultures.

Just like Ripskater you're going to ignore the fact that Supreme Commadment hangs above all. But remember: Our Lord expressed his contempt for the pretensions of the Pharisee.

Spiritual arrogance is thing is in this world. You really need to be careful with that.

Your rosary doesn't give you special powers. The decision you made to walk away instead of breaking his jaw was the grace of God helping you realize what to do in that situation.

Okay maybe, maybe not.

But who can dictate how His Grace can manifest, and by what means?

It's only by God. It's not by you touching an object.

But what if God decides that you need to touch an object?

Do you and Brother Kid presume know His heart?

His plan?

Exodus 29:37
For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it; then the altar shall be most holy, and whatever touches the altar shall be holy.

Exodus 30:29
You shall also consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them shall be holy.

It's already up to 115 F here and it isn't a "dry heat" because monsoon season has started but there's no fucking rain. I stood in front of that damn grill for an hour-plus the other day in a shaded spot and was still drenched, was literally pouring ice cold water over myself.
Man, the War Room has been unreadable in recent weeks. It just feels like everyone is regurgitating Tim Pool talking points verbatim and I had to back off from the cringiness of it all. Also, is that @stoat guy ripskater?

Hasn't it really always been though? <45>

If we all just shut the fuck down from the start for 1 month, really shut down. This would be gone. Instead we got gays by the thousands partying on top of each other, people protesting cops, people marching to support cops, people protesting statues, people toppling statues, people living in makeshift no go zones, BLM and Antifa looting and destruction of cities, all while many states are getting thousands of new cases daily. Young people should be ashamed at their selfishness.
