It was a global fucking pandemic. Not bird flu. I know not everyone lived in Silicon Valley but we had literal ice trucks outside our hospitals with dead bodies. I know not all of the world had to go through that but it was very real and scary as fuck enough not to kill our elderly and infirm for a greedy hug.

I do the same if I have a cold though. It's courtesy and caring. I don't shake people's hands if I have a cough. Doesn't mean I will ever be grifted by people trying to line their pockets and exhibit control. We KNOW how long it takes to get a proper vaccine. We ignored it. First time in history we quarantined the healthy instead of the sick and at risk. Now many of us are suffering from the vaccine. When the head of all of it says there was no science behind what they did, and people STILL defend it, that is just too much for me. Blind stupidity that became a partisan thing. There are idiots so controlled they are still wearing masks in their cars alone.

That's fair enough, I don't necessarily agree about how brutal the vaccine is, but the rest I can understand.

What I don't understand is those that choose to swing too far in the other direction.

If you've got a cold don't spread it. But people seem invested in proving how harmless Covid is, at least from the way they talk about it.

It's not worth it.

Dude... they're fucking garbage. They do nothing... The highest surge in cases occured after the vaccine roll outs.... it wasn't even close.

The vaccine didn't do shit. It didn't prevent the spread of infections what-so-ever and possibly made it worse. I mean, there were far more case after the vaccine roll outs than before them.

And if the vaccine can't prevent infections or prevent spreading it, then why the fuck does it matter if you take it or not before spending time with your grandma? lol... What's the logic there?

There's been all sorts of respiratory infections up here where I am but I haven't met anyone with covid so far. Not doubting your story, just putting my own useless anecdote out there , for some reason.

My brother was in the ICU with a respiratory infection , but he's pretty messed up. Throat cancer and lifelong drunk.

I was under 50 when it happened. Are you going to argue with both my Oncologists and do a deep dive on my medical history and medication as to why it could have quite likely killed me?

I love that everyone's a fucking expert on this.

I don't know where you lived but in The Bay Area we literally had ice trucks outside hospitals. People where I now live think I'm lying because we're such a small and isolated town it wasn't bad here.

I would have been a fucking idiot to not taken the vaccine under personal expert advisory.

I live in Brazil. I'm telling the story because covid hasnt been on my mind for years until a couple months ago as apparently has been some serious cases all over.
