Could you take CM Punk?

I've never seen him fight. People are acting like having been in the WWE is a disadvantage like paraplegia or something.

I would fight him... 90% of the Sherdog would ROOT for me, I d be a huge draw....Hope Dana makes the fight.
 
I seriously doubt it. CM has dedicated the last two years of his life at a great camp training only to fight MMA in a cage. Me, I have a full time job and train casually. I may have been doing it for quite a while longer, but he's been doing it better.
 
Give Sherdoggers the same type of training, and I could probably see more winning than losing.

I'm 0-0 I would gladly fight anyone in the lightweight division for the $ he's about to make...shit let hunt break my jaw for a million and after surgery I'll walk away smiling. U act like he's brave and shit, most of us bums would do it we just can't cuz ufc is supposed to be legit.

Most would do it? How many sanctioned/official fights do you have..0 right? Because if you really would do it, you would have already had a few fights by now. I'm not hating on you either... I only have a MT smoker and some Bjj tournaments a but I don't get why people who don't have fights or have no intention to fight hating on CM Punk and I'm not even a wrestling fan. He's still doing it and you, although you tell me you and most would, are not. Period

So it's the money he's getting? Ok great go build yourself as a name in another field. Wrestling , acting, music, another sport. Get to be a decent name and then call Dana and say you want a fight. When you get to be as known as CM punk, however famous he is/was, I'm sure you'll get the same or similar money and I'm sure you will get a fight.

When he actually walks into the cage and the ref says "Ready?..fight" Yes he will be fundamentally braver than you and most everyone else on this thread.
 
Year and a half of hard work with Duke is pretty good. I bet they did a god job on covering the fundamentals of fistfighting. Still, my ego won't let me say I can't beat him. It'd have to be at Franklinweight. I'd zero in on a gameplan of sprawl-n-brawl, full-on Liddell style. I'd kick his legs, box off the back foot, work behind the jab and teep, and keep him either at the end of my punches or locked down in a clinch and defending sharp shit from elbows and knees. My guard is a sieve, so no playing around on my back. I'd give him my neck before I let him play top game. But if I get on top, I'll crush him with some flab and post-elbows to the forehead. If he threatens any sweeps, I'll just back out and bring him back to the feet again where he's most at risk. Yes, I'd strike with the Roufus-trained guy, because anyone can learn to grapple, but relatively few learn to take shots and stay composed if they don't have that dog in them.

Then I'd gas at about the 3:00 mark and he'd take me down and stop me somehow.

Everything about this is 100% true for me as well. I putta the hespeck on the name of him.
 
I'll be honest of what i've done. Nick ring at BDB used to be my muay thai coach. I used to go to the morning classes where brian bird was the muay thai coach. I've been training for about a year and no cm punk would beat me up.
 
Punk will go for the TD and tap to a guillotine. He will be disappointed.
 
I think you're forgetting that the CM stands for Championship Material...
 


I'll fight CM punk but i'm way too fat right now to even make weight (210) at 5"10.

When they showed him training and grappling he looked utterly amateur, almost as if he had never even been in a fist fight. His grappling looked terrible too, although he appears to have a bit better natural instincts in grappling.

Maybe the Punk that shows up to fight will be a completely different animal than what was shown in the promos but it's doubtful. Gall is ending this one in the first.

Same. I'm just an amateur, and from what I've seen in the training vids, I'd outstrike him badly (he'd probably be SLIGHTLY better on the ground... though I don't think enough to make a difference). Idk if I'd KO him, but I'd win a fight most definitely.
