Merab beat an 3-0 improved Aldo at 135 while Yan had a close fight against 0-2 Aldo at the time for a paper belt

Aldo actually stopped Merab from taking him down while Yan got ragdolled and taken down many times by Merab

That was a "middle of the pack" type of performance Yan had against Merab

Should be sent to the early prelims for that crap performance in his next fight

If you are really a Yan fan you should recognize that Yan's style of waiting in mid range for something to counter doesn't work when the fighter is just trying to change levels and shoot for nothing but single legs all fight.

Plus Yan kept stepping forward and made it even easier for Merab to time him and close the distance. Yan vs Merab is always going to end badly for Yan because of their style of fighting. Yan will need to evolve his game and change things up.

Learn to have a proper discussion instead of acting like a professional victim crying about "hate" because your boy got exposed

Yes Yan's style has flaws,and top fighters are starting to figure him out,but he is still an elite fighter. That does not change overnight just because of your slander. Merab had a terrific effort,and he had to be terrific to beat Yan.

Any MMA fan who isn't a blind Yan fanboy can see that

Those last 2 close split decision losses should have forced him to make a statement against Merab but instead he got 50-45 with ease

Yan has elite level skills,I consider him an elite fighter. It doesnt matter to me if he loses. This loss he just had was the first true defeat in my eyes. We will see if he can bounce back...he has to make some serious adjustments now. im pulling for him.

Volk is vastly more refined technically in every single area of MMA and has the physicality and cardio to go hard for 5 rounds. It would be a complete wash where Volk would do to Merab what Merab has done to others in his best performances.

Yan hater alert. Yan's fight with Aldo wasn't close at all, he finished him and hurt him over and over in the process.

Also no, Aldo was not winning the exchanges, he landed 3 or 4 good kicks and then Yan adjusted and started checking them all.
