Could Gegard have beaten Daniel last night?

Gegard had one of his best performances in years completely curbstomped a dangerous Santos who many were picking for an upset. Gegard doesnt really gameplan for specific opponents like alot of ppl either. He has the best jab of anyone DC wouldve ever fought (yes including Gus) which wouldve given him problems. I think Gegard wouldve outstruck him on the feet unlike Anderson and when Daniel gets him down i dont see him doing much. It mightve been a Gegard/Mo type fight where Gegard beat him up from the bottom but DC gets decision.

Imo, no he would get grinded out.
But gegard, Silva all these guys had nothing to lose, cause on paper they were supposed to lose.
That puts dc in a tough spot, very little gain with everything to lose, he took the path of least resistance against silva and would do the same against moose.
If the fight stayed standing it would be intresting but lets not forget the dog that dc is, just watch the gus fight.

Cormier would have blanketed him the entire fight, same as against Anderson. Unless you have great takedown defense - like Jones - Cormier is going to put you on your back and hug you to death. That is what it is and he would have blanked moose as well.
