Fights to Make After UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs Saint-Denis

After last night, Imavov vs Allen seemed like a demotion after the Cannonier win. Caio didn't get the same finish but looked equally or possibly more impressive. Caio's got some momentum behind him whereas last night's win for Imavov was kind of a drag. Neither guy looked particularly great. So maybe Imavov and Borralho squaring off is the way to go. Although I wouldn't be opposed to Caio and Imavov both getting different top 3 opponents at this point.

Imavov vs Borralho is a fight only a retarded would do. These up and comers should be taking the old guard. Why kill one of them?

Imavov should fight Gynosanya. That is a fan friendly matchup.
Borralho can wipe the floor with Khamzat vs Whittaker loser.

But if the UFC is done with Izzy they can feed him to Borralho.
Is MmA boxing now and we have to protect “0s”?

On paper I love most of these fights, but when making fights we have to consider schedule. Paddy is likely ready to fight this winter, while BSD may not be ready to fight again until spring or summer
No chance they go back to Paris soon enough either so couldn’t be there

Hey if Ziam loses his next fight I bet people wont be able to understand his hype either lmao
Seemed a bit of a dick with the cheap shots

Won’t be upset if he gets a. Dose of karma

Come on man. It's not like a switch you can just turn on and off. Its fuckin reflex from training. You drop a guy you dont let em off the hook.

It’s was clear he was out out from the knee

The second punch at least was egregious

Might not be reflex from training and he just wanted to punch his unconscious head as hard as he possibly could, and I'm fine with that. In fact if I was in that position I 100% would've done the same. It looks like it would feel fucking amazing to do.

No shit he was out from the knee.

But fighters are thinking steps ahead. It's not as easy as people think to just turn off murderous bloodlust. There's literally no reason to keep hitting a guy and risk getting disqualified. Its not like he meant to do it to be a dick. It's something thats gonna happen, and does happen, quite frequently.

Just dont agree

We’ve seen enough fighters walk off KO etc

Clear your opponent is fully out and you take 2 cheap shots

You’re cool with it. Me and a few others on here are not

We’re never gonna agree on this.

It depends on the style of the fighter, and how it ends.

Some fighters like Machida, or Hunt are methodical with their blows, and some guys like Wanderlei Silva fight on homicidal aggression. Some guys are calm and some guys are super violent. Both have to be allowed. Im not cool with purposely hitting someone when you know their out like Kid Yamamoto. But sometimes people are gonna tap into a level of violence to win, and those extra hits are gonna happen from time to time...althou IMO its on a quite regular basis. It's just sometimes fans care and sometimes they dont.

"Im not cool with purposely hitting someone when you know their out"

This is what happened this weekend

@Siver! great post but calling Allen/Imavov a “nail-biter” is pure exaggeration/hyperbole.

Allen got a TD and did shit all with it, pure lay n’ pray. Next two rounds he got his shot absolutely pushed in, though he managed to land a few good shots standing.

If we scored fights as a whole based on damage (like we should) it was actually a very one-sided beat down that just didn’t look as bad because Imavov gassed trying to finish and let Allen tag him a couple times in the last minute.

But I had no doubt watching that fight midway through the second round that Allen looked close to broken with his body language and reactions, especially the sequence where he got mounted.

I'm really not
The guy is in a fight.

When you knee a guy in the head and he falls, his first thought is probably dont let his ass get up. You dont wait to admire your work. You just go go go.

Fair call, I was desperately playing catch up after missing a large part of the show 🤣

Maybe it wasn't as close as the impression it gave me speed viewing/recapping!

In the heat of battle I dont see this as egregious at all. This shit happens on like every card.
