If he stood with them yes. But if he out wrestled them no. Its not like he was sitting on the couch eating doritos til he was 30 then decided he wanted to do MMA. Wrestlers almost since the beginning of this sport have been able to come in and win dominately. MarK Coleman had a month to prepare after not making the olympic team and taking the UFC up on their offer to fight at UFC 10. Randy has a whole 2 weeks.

Wrestling is one of the most important aspects of MMA fighting. So to say he started training for MMA at 30 is a bit of a misnomer.
