Regimen Could being really strong for your weight division justify not cutting water weight

As stated before, you are a 40 year old single guy with no kids and are clearly the biggest baseball fan in this sherdog subforum, plenty of free time. You are earning a weekly/monthly stream from this sport right?. Please tell me that my rec ball umpire checks from HS and college don't add up to more than you've made in this sport.

I don't know if he really thinks anyone on this forum believes his bullshit or if in his mind he actually believes it himself. If it's the first part, he probably assumes we are all ignorant on baseball or how leagues work. I'm 100% sure that I spend more time at fields than him per week. I really think it is the latter though. He's so delusional that he really thinks he is something at baseball and has all of the knowledge and potential to be a really strong guy if he wanted to. This last week between coaching softball, cross country, catching for pitching lessons, and working fields for a tournament after a storm, I clocked in at about 20 hours for all of that. This isn't even including running my oldest around to football. I own a business, have a wife, 3 kids, etc. so obviously my time is pretty limited for training. I'm still moving as much or more weight than him while literally running M-F with the cross country team. With how little he has going on his life, I really have no clue how he's just spinning in circles.

what is your point here oblivion?

I have no interest in comparing my life to your life.

Apparently you come on here to just be a crybaby.

Do you wonder why so many people are arguing against you and making fun of you? The point has been made several times. You take a very dogmatic approach to training and your arguments. Your logic never makes sense, or you are just incredibly poor at trying to articulate them. You then try to make an appeal to authority as if you are one. The fact is that you've been spinning in circles for years without getting stronger. You try to justify it by your baseball "career" which is just some adult rec ball bullshit and you give comments to make it sound like you are some martial artist. You then go the route of "I'll show you all" by doing a meet to show how strong you can get or you'll take a fight to show how badass you are. Of course, none of this ever happens as it has been going on for years. There really is no excuse with how little you have going on in your life too, so you try to talk up your baseball playing which somehow has no coverage yet it's very important.

Here's an idea - just state you train for fun at this point in your life and to maintain some strength. You play baseball for fun. Maybe realize that you don't know as much as you think with training because if you did you'd be a lot stronger, have some clients, etc. Or if you really believe all of this stuff in your head, do the meet and actually take a fight. If you care so much about baseball too, maybe coach some teams, umpire, join a board, etc.

He 100% thinks this forum is unfamiliar with baseball, that's why he posts here. Could you imagine going to a Baseball S&C forum to consistently talk about how you can bowl a 300 and were be the best Soccer player in high school 20 fucking years ago?

I distinctly remember him misleading the thread about his "pro ball" experience. Claimed to have a tryout for a MiLB team that doesn't have open tryouts.

It honestly seems like you are more involved in softball than he is with baseball. It seems like he joins a few open leagues and hops on an occasional tournament team. Outside of that we have not heard a peep about officiating, coaching, managing etc. There's nothing wrong with that, blowing the level of participation out of proportion is lame as hell though.

I absolutely don’t care if you even know I played baseball. I never even chose to come out and say I played at all until somebody asked me.

This whole ordeal started because you were just flabbergasted in how dare this man insult me by saying he can total 1285.

You guys basically come on here your spare time and attempt to run me down for something you perceived to be just a crime against you.

If I could go back I never would have even posted in this forum at all.

Nobody ever needed to know my athletic history here at all and you can go back search function.

I never would have even brought it up if not asked in the first place.

You are very passionate about your baseball and you seem to always fit it in. To be fair I never thoroughly read through these threads like I should, so I probably miss a few things here or there. Maybe you are being coaxed into going on and on about it, but I would guess it is you that is bringing it up most of the time.

I was flabbergasted by a grown man lying about a mock meet total to a S&C message board, not by any particular number that was hit. 1285 for a 200lb 35 year old "athlete" is pretty meh and would never throw up red flags for me.

Like I said before, I would absolutely love it if you sign up for another meet and follow through with it this time and you can prove all the haters and doubters wrong.

I do t ha

I do not have any desire to prove anybody wrong”wrong” about anything. I do not actually need to prove anything to anybody.
I just keep lifting and If a lifetime PR comes about I post a video. You are correct a 1285 is definitely meh. So what exactly is still your problem? You are going to hold against me that I didn’t total 1285 your entire time here. Do you think I’m incapable of totaling 1285 at a powerlifting meet? If the answer to that yes then what are you worried about and if the answer to that is no then what are you worried about?

Did we finally get an admission that you didn't total 1285?

The issue hasn't been the claim of lifting it, it's your dogmatic defence of the fact you did at that time, claimed to be able to do it anytime and now years later, still can't do it. You used baseball as a reason you couldn't which is why the level of playing came up.

Same as claiming to play pro ball this time. You brought that up as a reason to support what you said. No one else is, they just challenge you when you bring things up.

Come on man, pull a max deadlift. Just say no to playing games for a week. See what you can get.

No Maximus.

I don’t think I will door have done any of that.

Thank you for caring though. From the bottom of my heart.

DId you total 1285 at the famous time claimed?

I was going through your log. It's kinda insane how consistently you work up to the same weights, reps and even supposed RPEs etc in cycles.
I can take your log from 2022 and 2025 and that put that lift in without a date and it's identical. Even when you swap from one program to another.

I think this is a solid estimate. I'd say Rock should be able to grind out ~500lb, especially with straps(so grip is not a factor).

This would put Rock in the top 8% of all deadlifters his age, sex and weight. Not too shabby.

You act like a 2 year old at my perceived "lack of progress". There are a much better coaches than you available with the click of button why in the world would I listen to you about how to program?

Some of you may or may not make an actual living doing this but all you do is the same as anybody just listen to insert strength coach has to say and then parrot what you heard.

I am 100% confident you do not know more(or less)about this than I do Maximus.

You can keep blowing hot air at everything and it will not change anything.

I tell you what ill pull a max effort deadlift on video in my log tonight just to prove that you dont know what you are talking about but pretend to.

Perfect. 2 angles is preferred but I understand that's hard if you train alone.
Try rear and to the right or left if you can't do two so I can catch the rear and to whichever side.

Sumo, conventional, trap bar doesn't matter. Whichever one you want 600lbs on.

How many specific days can you give me for deadlift specific work without it impacting your other training?

Maximus im not going to to do your program. Ever.

You do have a history of not doing what you said you would. I kinda expect that would be the case, but let's see the deadlift for starters.

I'll write something up based off what I see and you can go on about how bad it is. You set me the rules of how many days I can have and I will cover off the deadlift specific stuff and leave you room to do whatever you want with pressing, baseball etc.

What days do you play baseball?

go ahead and check my log I did 515 for a single then I posted a video of 515 for 4 in 2018. So go ahead and lay out the super advanced program since you seem to think I dont know anything about what im doing.

You want me to plan a program off a lift 7 years ago?

The excuses are coming. What did you pull today?
I need to see a video to check where you might need some work.

How else do I look and see what areas you are weak in. I can't do that based off your assistance work or log because it's literally the same exercises and reps for years now. That's why I asked you to test.

There is nothing to have an excuse about Maximus. I posted both videos for you to look at. Drew would say that they were soft kneed and wouldnt count. There is another video in that log pulling 545 for one and I dont know if it is still in there.

You dont have any clue what you are doing which is why you are so weak and unskilled as a recreational fighter.
