Costco pulls milk over Allegations It Was A Product Of Forced Monkey Labor

Has anyone asked the monkeys their opinion?

I'll bet zero fucks are given.

Chinese factories are installing suicide nets so their slave labor force don't kill themselves, and it's all so Costco, Walmart, and Amazon can sell you a 55" TV for $200. But monkeys being used as farm labor. That's where they draw the line?

Wait 'till someone at Costco finds out where ground beef comes from.

That doesn't justify participating in it where you know it is happening. We should actively and aggressively work to blacklist slave labor exploitation from our markets.

I don't know how I feel about monkeys. We raise and kill cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, goats, and many other animals; we tirelessly work horses on ranches, and while I've seen many Mustangs purchased with six-digit salaries, I can't recall having ever seen a Mustang with a six-digit salary. Dogs only carry a timecard in Warner Bros. cartoons.

I mean, holy shit, stop and think, people. This is ridiculous. We work the hell out of animals across the planet, and we never pay them. Are they treated humanely? That's the only question that matters.

Here are the videos of the coconut monkeys mistreatment. You be the judge.

And here was the rescue mission for coconut monkeys

PETA is not a reliable source on these issues, so I trashed the first video as soon as I saw their watermark. The guy who posted the second video is a militant vegan, so I also disregarded his video. The third was posted by a Dutchman who started an elephant refuge, so I gave it a go.

Neither of the monkeys in the video demonstrate signs of trauma or abuse. They are friendly. The videomaker makes an issue of their living conditions, on the "rubbish", but he points out they apparently were turned over to the refuge manager by the monkey owners themselves who don't own coconut farms, but procured them from the coconut farmers.

I don't see any signs of abuse or mistreatment.

So were fine with the cows making milk but not when monkeys do it?

Hopefully this is tried in a kangaroo court

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind

The animal kingdom has options in Asia. Work or be eaten

Labour from monkeys? That makes it extra delicious.

It's bad in the world when you read a "news" article and have to double check to see if it's an Onion article.

They've been doing it for centuries. Not just Thailand. Karens got upset and demand change. Child labor it is.
Doing something for centuries is not a good reason to do something. In the end, if they want to export, and the countries buying the product don't want to buy it, it's their right. However, they should not complain when the product gets a bit more expensive then either.

Don't but Amish food either i guess? They use beasts of burden still as slaves and not tractors.

IS this where we are going now? animals have human rights? Maybe trees next?

I'm so glad I'm old and on the last half of my term on this rock. ppl are getting crazier by day.
