Sandhagen did injure his right arm, look at his elbow in the post fight interview. It’s pretty swollen right at the joint. Im a just bleed guy myself and found myself web surfing during the fight. But if his tricep is torn like he said, I can see why he fought the way he did.

Dude this is the most casual thing to say. Guy has one performance you don't like and you say he's, "lost a fan." You're a perfect example of what's wrong with the mma fan base.
 
dont start crying now about how a takedown leads to 0 dmg cuz yall r the same fucking losers who give rounds to your favorite fighter if they are getting their ass kicked for 4 minutes of a round but get 1 takedown and fall on top for the last 1 minute and then you give them the round cuz of that takedown....keep the same energy

Hell Ngannou got his ass beat in round 5 and fell on top for the last minute and literally landed 0 strikes from guard and he won the fight because of that, just 1 example.

This has been an issue during GSP era, but the last few years it seems like its starting to come back more egregious than ever, there have been multiple fighters losing their belts and fights because of some takedown with 40 seconds left after they were winning the stand up for 4 minutes and losing the fight because of it.

Save the tears when fights like these happen if yall are the ones pushing for this shit 99% of the other times.

I wasn't angry at Sandhagen at all.
One of my favorite fighters.
Daft opening aside, I was asking a sincere question.
Will his offensive wrestling make him do better vs. Aljo?
I'd doubt he'd take the fight to the ground so off of that, I was musing whether better offensive wrestling translates to better defensive wrestling.

.he did it against chito too. I think it's his new thing until he fights a real grappler and loses.

He couldn't keep broke TJ off of him. Sterling would steamroll him again. He was fun as a striker but he's not skilled enough as a grappler to get the belt. I lost interest in this guy

I don't think the questions of Cory's defensive wrestling and grappling off his back have been answered at all. It's clear he's been working on his wrestling a lot and his ability to take down Chito and Font shows offensively its improved but at 5'11 I have serious doubts about his center of gravity, strength to weight ration and all around defensive wrestling when it comes to fighting jacked 5'7-5'8 dominant grapplers like Umar and Aljo.

I think it was Roy Jones Jr on the JRE who gave a really astute observation when discussing Canelo vs Floyd II with Rogan. Rogan said he thought Canelo might be better than Floyd was now, because of the Floyd loss and learning from it and wished there was a time machine so this Canelo could have fought Floyd. Roy pointed out that Canelo became more like Floyd after the loss but that realistically that's not the way to beat Floyd. He also pointed out when Canelo fought slick boxers with great defense (I believe he used Trout and Lara as examples) that Canelo still clearly had struggled with that style. Basically Roy said, by Canelo fighting more like Floyd since the loss, it didn't really give him any reason to think he'd beat Floyd in a rematch. I sorta feel this way with Sandhagens grappling, you're working a lot on your wrestling and your offensive wrestling has gotten better so you can expose low level grapplers but what does that really tell us about your ability to defend elite takedown artists and dominant grapplers? Very little, perhaps nothing.
