Cory D. Sandhagen

Sandhagen has given us plenty of incredibly exciting stand and bang performances, with multiple crazy finishes. He's earned the right to fight how he wants. I'm actually pretty impressed that a guy who was considered a pure striker with no grappling ability has evolved into someone that can completely control a 5 round fight with his wrestling. It's obviously not the most exciting style, but it's extremely effective and I gotta give credit where credit is due.

Cory won. Period. It’s cool when GSP does it.
I love GSP for his talent but thank you. GSP is loved on here to the point that it makes me think a lot of people haven't even watched all his fights. Dude had an epically boring title run later in the UFC and consciously deployed a winning control over damage style.

GSP is worshipped to point of embarrassment on here, makes me not even wanna talk about one of my favorite fighters, it's like the opposite of how triggered some people get over Jones because he beat all their idols.

Gsp was smashing guards and at least going body, body head. This fight tonight made GSP look exciting in comparison lol. It is as much font's fault as it is sandhagen's, though.

GSP vs Jake Shields begs to differ.

Agreed definitely both their faults though , I mean Font shot for the takedown first and kinda set the momentum of the fight to be a clinch fest.

And Sandhagen said he got injured in Rd 1 and I think that's probably true

The "D" stands for DVALISHVILI! <45>
Seriously, will this new offensive grappling-heavy focused version of Sandhagen be enough against the champ?
Only saw 1 instance of him defending a takedown so I don't know if that's enough of a sample size.
Methodical, though rather underwhelming, win.
I love how sherdog can still do a complete 180 on a fighter that not just wins, but just has an off night in victory.

Part of the reason why I watch fights Sunday morning, so I can fast forward through the boring parts.

Cory D(ana's favorite fighter to walk out on in the middle of the match) Sandhagen.

Dude this is the most casual thing to say. Guy has one performance you don't like and you say he's, "lost a fan." You're a perfect example of what's wrong with the mma fan base.

I was a fan of Cory doing shit like wheel kicks, flying knees, and elbowing faces off.

He blanketed far worse than even guys like Fitch or Sonnen, at leadt those guys were active with GnP.

Yes, an action fighter deciding to create one of the worst fights I've ever seen has made me never care if he fights again.
