For the record, the longest Senate speech was by Strom Thurmond in 1957 and lasted over 24 hours. Also, Ted Cruz spoke for over 21 hours in 2013.

What do you consider their jobs to be? No bill they introduce will pass; they came through at some political cost to keep the government from shutting down, something Republicans have failed to do time and time again.
The GOP has barely put a bill before Congress, and it’s certainly not Dems’ job to rubber stamp whatever Trump and the GOP want. Their job is to represent voters like me who put them there.
