There is definitely a correlation between steroid/PED/TRT use and faster recovery from hard training, and faster recovery to physical trauma in fights. The fights dont lie.

i agree with all of this except the fighters who get caught or are highly suspected seem to get rocked or dropped with lesser shots. i know its bro science at this point but i just get the feeling theres something to this

i think a lot of people had these thoughts with the bigfoot situation but after seeing aldo get one punched by a short shot after a decade of dominance, the machida looking soft thread and his simulteaneous inability to take a shot, and now anderson getting rocked and dropped by bisping after discontinuing his super thai viagra it seems like evidence could be piling up. or at least speculative correlation

Anderson and machida were getting old. Most aging fighters get ko'd more easy. Look at extremely young fighters they can take anything. For example, Max holloway eating all Conor's devastating left straights. So if TRT basically can make you "younger" maybe that can explain a little of it.

aldo dived into that punch chin first as hard and quick as he humanly could? Anyone would of went down especially for how explosive aldo is it makes the impact even worse.


You are saying it's solely because of PEDs but you're not factoring the damage they went to prior.

I don't think this issue is black and white even if some of it's true. There are just so many variables. Past damage, declining age, how good your genetics are ( even if hendo didn't take trt his chin probably could of still lasted in his late 30's, guy is a genetic specimen.).

Bj penn and nick Diaz both probably have the best chins of all time and are most likely clean fighters. Even those two would start getting ko'd into mid/late 30's
