He as well as other billionaires are pouring billions into this area of research as well as now on a global vaccine that will not have to use live virus to create new vaccines like Bill Gates talked about years ago. I can actually see researchers leaving his lab to go to another one. This is not that unusual in the valley and caused Google founders to stop defense direct research and Facebook to drop supporting a conservative group.
