Coronavirus - How is your work handling it?

There are TWO bottles of handgel and a jerrycan to fill them up...
They brought this today.

They also talk about home office, but... only for people who have kids...
They still don't get it, I guess...
I work for an accounting firm btw, we are part of a bigger group of 19 offices together with 200 employees all together...

Today something happened, usually we all eat in one room, but now a lot of people (including me) preferred to eat behind their PC.
 
Closed for 6 weeks, probably end of semester and my dude gig is no longer doing in home services which sucks because it was good money. Ut I'll be getting my full salary from work so I'll be paid at least thru early may when this crap should be calming down but who knows what kind of world will be waiting by the
 
Business as usual but I work for the Court system in a prosecutor's office. The only real change is lot's of the attorneys are working from home/calling in for hearings while us support staff (paralegals like me or legal secretaries and other support staff) are in office preparing PC statements and such.
 
In my office almost everyone is working remotely. It’s pretty much just the president and us RD folks. We’re required to park in one specific lot under the building and take the service elevator directly into the office.

In the plants it’s business as usual and production has even increased. I’m sure that will change as people start getting the virus though.
 
I’m prolly going to start working from home later this week.

Bunch of other shit is happening around the office. People are getting sick notes left and right to stay home for a while. Overall that doesn’t impact our company very much. My employer is one of the biggest in Canada.
 
Working at home, i'm in sales so a lot of phone calls. Not sure how this will affect our business, we work with data centers though so it may actually go well (depending on lockdown requirements)

My whole company has gone 100% for probably a month. Can't wait for this shit to be over.
 
I work for the government in the UK, we got to go ahead at 10pm tonight to work from home from tomorrow.

We all got laptops and iPhones so shouldn't be much of a problem.

It was by far the best press conference he's ever given.

He's closing the borders to all international traffic except for the US. He announced that, and said to Canadians, "It's time to come home."

It's the only time he's felt like a prime minister. I was impressed.
 
Corporate sent out an email today stating if you do not want to come to work you do not have to and won't be penalized for it BUT you will not get paid for staying home. If you want to get paid you will need to use your PTO. Corporate employees do not have to go to work and get to work from home which has made us who have to deal with clients directly angry. A lot of us are hoping they will close down our locations we work at for a time and pay us. I am myself have heart issues (Had two open heart surgeries when I was a child. 2 and 12) and I am worried about catching the virus cause I am not sure how my body will react to it. I also have family members who's immune systems are compromised like my sister who has MS. I myself would not come in to work but I cannot do that because i need the money to pay for rent, and what not.

What annoys me is that we have people bringing their computers and phones to get repaired when the Governor of NY is telling people to stay home. I even had some older gentleman come in today who proceeded to cough into his own hand, sneezed without even bothering to cover up. I am not personally allowed to tell a person to go home if they show signs of being sick but management can. I went to my manager and told him what was going on and he went to the person and politely told him he had to take his device with him and leave the store because of him being sick. The asshole proceeded to get angry and said we were being hysterical. Better safe than sorry in my book.

I will show up at work until they bar us from entering as long as theres a non salary employee that needs to be there to take care of their family, imo
 
Same shit as usual. I work at a children's hospital as of now its same shit. Just wash ur hands stay away from people.
 
I'm a PT at two skilled nursing facilities. Patients/residents are basically quarantined to their rooms to avoid increased contact with others. No more group therapy and all remaining therapy treatments are taking place inside their rooms. Hand washing and sanitizing has always been important so nothing really changes there. Daily temperature checks and questionnaires are being filled out by both employees and residents. Visitors are no longer allowed inside the build with the exception of family members who are visiting a loved one that is near death(from other causes, not Corona). If you are feeling any type of illness you're being asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Since I work with the most vulnerable demographic, things are being taken very seriously. I'm also trying to limit my activities within the community. I'd be pretty upset if I were the one responsible for starting an outbreak in either building at which I work. I imagine if there is indeed an outbreak, I'll probably be out of work since I'm not really an essential staff member. Nurses, aides, housekeeping, and kitchen staff will have to keep working though.
 
I work at a power generating station...we don't close ever. I go in when I'm on shift.
 
I’m a rep for Mopar. They haven’t given us much direction so I’m mostly working from home.
 
I work on a remote mine site and we've had 1 person in isolation for the last week after flying in from Indonesia and presenting to work with flu like symptoms. Also they have security guards at the wet/dry mess making sure everybody sanitizers there hands before entering. Several gatherings have been held to squash rumours and so fourth.
 
I decided to start working from home last week because I can do 100% of my current project from home and I hate being in an office, especially when it's another companies office
