The whole point of the “stay home” narrative is that we can “save lives”. It carries with it connotations of “compassion” and “virtue”.

I think that “compassion” is taken away somewhat by laughing at people that caught the virus and are on their deathbeds.

It’s what makes me hate the left, in general, they are so full of shit. They like to act virtuous, holy and compassionate ... when, I’m reality, they are not at all.

They all said just like 5 minutes that poverty is the reason for astronomical crime rates, poor health, obesity and diabetes and drug abuse when they were trying to make excuses for America's criminals, and like magic, they're all suddenly pro-life, went from "fuck the police" to "just comply with whatever they tell you or you deserve to die", are anti-bill of rights, just because the TV told them to.

Drugs kill over 40,000/year, and I doubt you can find 1 leftist who isn't opposed to the war on drugs and wants drugs legalized. Oh no, that risk is worth it because they like getting high, but the minimal risk is going to work is far too great and we need our rights taken away immediately.

They are an exception because they're the only ones who actually did the right thing by not trashing everyone's rights and livelihoods just to kick the can down the road. It's not going to just disappear, and unless you plan on living in a bunker on the off chance they make a vaccine some time next year, we're going to have to leave our houses with the virus still around, at which point Sweden would largely have built up a strong immunity to it and we'll be right back to where we are now.

I suppose you could invest in a nice bubble to leave the house.

Bars and restaurants has been closed / fined for letting too many people in.
Not allowed to gather in lager groups than 50 people.
This weekend is a HUGE party weekend in Sweden all festivities was canceled.
People have been laid of furloughed unemployment rate in some area is hitting 10%.

You don't have to be even a tiny bit compassionate if you want to save lives, especially if the lives you're worried about are yours and those of people you care about.

I wouldn't wish illness on anyone, but those who denied this was serious, ignored precautions and died as a result have only themselves to blame. And for SURE this is poetic justice because they were encouraging others to take the same risks.

I'm not going to get into if the lock down should end, if it was necessary, or what we should do now, because that's a complicated discussion. My neighborhood is one of the most infected in the country and I would absolutely caught this if they hadn't taken these measures, so I'm pretty biased.
