I don't think this was ever much of a "freedom" issue, though. I think most of the people arguing freedom issues probably prioritize that in every single other event. The only meaningful freedom concern is the freedom to work, and there is no real reason the government would mess with that unless they believed it absolutely necessary. It's political and economic suicide. Trump is doing everything in his power to get the United States moving again because this is an election year.

Despite all the rhetoric I don't know how much he could have done to prevent what's happened, but I've watched news reports from both sides of the political spectrum and I can't imagine he could have done much worse. As someone standing outside of American politics it looks like every time he opens his mouth he lies. News reports from all around the world about him say the same things about his behavior internationally, and I can't remember a time in my life where American competence was so openly ridiculed by other nations. I think any other president from the last fifty years would have been exponentially better.

Keep shrieking in fear from your balconies and from behind your very well used computers. We'll be outside. I know you'd all like to stop us, but you're too fucking terrified to come out so I dont see much chance of that.

Enjoy your next 2+ years in isolation, definitely worth it to avoid a disease with a 0.2% mortality rate.

Hardly anyone actually denies the virus exists they just consider it a bad flu and they're not wrong

This word denial is used because of Holocaust denial even though some of these deniers are Jews (see EU got in trouble for hosting a Holocaust denying Rabbi) despite plenty of reason to believe that parts of the Holocaust are fabricated propaganda none of that matter.. #nodebate #inciniratedeniers
