Cormier had defended his belt in January and after 6 months he won HW belt.

But Conor still did it first and absolutely crushed both the FW and LW champs for the belt. So he is still legitimately the first guy to simultaneously hold both belts. Period.


At the end of the day Cormier will have a superior fighting legacy unless Conor actually returns and fights some more. DC’s achievements are incredible. Not being first to be one champ simultaneously in two weight classes doesn’t diminish DC one iota.
