9:48 - Almost all of downtown Dallas is cordoned off.
9:54 - Officer has a female suspect in custody that matches the description, he just asked where he needs to take her. Another officer says take her to HQ. - scanner

10:00 - CNN reporting a text message from an anchor's friend's daughter in the Omni hotel saying there is active shooter inside with 6 officers down.
10:09 - Friend works at parkland, she said 6 officers shot
10:10 - Sources indicate 5-6 officers gravely injured.
10:10 - Police reporting suspect on 3rd floor of the Bank of America tower in body armor.

This situation in dallas is nuts. It's not easy being a cop right now. I assure you all that not all PDs and Sheriffs are as poorly trained as one thinks. I think some places need updating, but the training in current day is a lot more thorough and recurring. It's going to continue to get better as well due to shitty officers actions and public demands.
