Cooking With The (UFC) Stars

Yves Edwards always used to bring food to the weigh-ins.

Shout out to Ryan Jimmo. RIP.

Nothing wrong with using an air fryer to cook. The taste is just as almost as good as a grill and much better better than pan frying. Also you only need to use less than half a tea spoon of oil for it
I saw you being an air-fryer enabler in the other thread. Totally unacceptable behaviour. I have grave suspicions that you might be a redditor in disguise posting amongst us.

They make everything taste the same, they neither sear nor bake, all they do is warm excessively - its not the same... If you have an oven but use an air-fryer then you're missing the point of having a kitchen in the first place.

They are for students, and people that share kitchens with idiots that would prefer to cook alone. Pans and ovens FTW.

He's my top pick.

The worst BY FAR is Dennis Bermudez. I couldn't even bring myself to put him in the OP.

Menace by name. Menace in the kitchen by nature.

2/10 would not bang.

Volk is ok tbh, just his clips are way too long.

What do you think about Volks onion cutting skills? It kinda irks me when people don’t put the veggies and fruits to the flat side when cutting.

I shouldn’t judge though I don’t even have proper knife skills despite using a chef knife nearly every day. Although I’ve cut myself less times in the past 2 years than Tito did in one video

Ooh I remember OAM usually brought food.

Joanna also brought Carla a cookie once.

Volk is only cutting those onions for presentation so its not really possible to judge - he's not holding them confidently at all though, I'd say he's still learning his knife game.

His pepper chopping was heinous. There's a few really clever ways to chop a pepper and he avoided all of them.

Method 1 - The long cut:

Chop the end and bottom off, then slice into the piece you have lengthways, and then turn your knife and pass it along the now-open pepper, cutting out the white pith and seeds, then julienne across and dice again

Method 2 - The Box Cut:

Leave both ends on and slice 4 times downwards. You'll be able to remove the centre and then slice the pieces.

I prefer method 1.

He's much more confident at handling meat, and knows not to season too early... I'd say he's trying to upgrade his station from being the toughest guy at the BBQ to the toughest guy in the kitchen, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Oh i didn’t even see the pepper part. I don’t know wtf he was doing.

I use method #2. A couple of my chef friends showed me #1 but I honestly forgot…but I will try it next time!
