I think we may have witnessed a genuine drunken breakdown on cable news

This administration is done if they do that. Only delays the inevitable.

At some point, he may not have a choice but to fire Mueller and then let Fox News and the congressional republicans go to work pushing the "investigation was corrupt and had to be ended" narrative. I think he might be waiting until the mid terms. Hoping that the Republican can somehow hold on to the House then he can fire Mueller and have political cover for 2 years (or at least that is what the thinking will be).

The problem, of course, is that the Republicans will almost certainly lose the House and if 2018 is the bloodbath that it is shaping up to be then Senate Republicans will be feeling immense pressure if impeachment proceedings come down from the Democratic led House.

He's cornered. No pardons, no dismissals. The only angle he has is "fake news", "no collusion".

Remember that scandal when Obama wore the tan suit. Or put his feet up on the Resolution Desk. Or asked about the price of Arugula. Or wanted Dijon mustard on a sandwich.
Dont forget the outrage when Michelle's mother accompanied them on vacation on the taxpayers dime

It wouldve caused a blood clot in Sean Hannitys brain killing him on national tv.

So at least one positive thing would come from it.

You are correct IGIT, if this was flipped the gop would talk about this for the next 20 years.

ahoy KONG-D'SNT-TAP,

oh yeah, lol.

the "i told you so's" about Mr. Obama being a neophyte and how "this is amateur hour". i can picture it. Fox would immediately give Axelrod his own show where he could excoriate the POTUS on a nightly basis.

its really incredible to think of someone like Mr. Nunburg so close to the levers of power - like, in any way whatsoever.

he sounded unhinged. unhinged on national TV and totally cool with it.

i found that weird.

PS - and lol how he casually worked in that Hope Hicks was banging Cory - whom he hates with the heat of a thousand suns or something along those lines. i started laughing when he did that. who does that?

The entire White House is filled with NUNBURGS who are listening to classified information on a daily basis.

This amdinstration is filled with nothing but crooks. They're like a dumber version of the mafia. The mafia was at least slick about the things they did.

ahoy KONG-D'SNT-TAP,

i hate to admit this...but i speak from experience.

do you think Mr. Nunburg was high? as in, like, coked up out of his brains?

as i listened to the "interview", i imagined tiny bits of snow around his nostrils and flecks of spit on his cellphone.

that was the nuttiest interview i've ever heard from a recent departee of the White House. it was strange and funny and pretty alarming.

Drunk and mixing with anti-depressants.

Also, could be performance art. He went all over making an ass of himself. Maybe he was trying to damage his own credibility as a witness against Roger Stone.

hiho HomerThompson,

it sounded like opiates to you?

to me, it sounded exactly like cocaine. Nunburg did an eight ball and was like, "imma call Jake Trapper. that's what i'm gonna do.".
