Friend pre bought all the accessories and a game for the ps5 and is now selling them <45>he bought an x box instead at well above retail
Ok whoever moved this is a gigantic pussy. This was not a troll post. It was speaking about someone salty they didn't get a PS5. Not an endorsement of Xbox over Playstation. God y'all are getting soft as fuck around here. 2020 has taken Sherdogs balls too.

Sounds like an excuse.

I dont know the performance charts. For at the end of the day i dont care.

If the PS5 is outperforming the XBox when the PS5 has inferior hardware specs to the XBox. Cause is the operating system functionality. Likely caused by the last remaining remnants of Microsofts Windows 8 philosophy.

I was wondering if maybe there were inherent performance differences between the two OS. I assume PS5 is still based on FreeBSD, like PS4.

PS4 Pro runs at 4K but the Xbox Series S is running at Native 1080p. Why can't the Series S run at 4K with lower resolution fidelity like the PS Pro?

Also... So that's another +1 for PS5 comparison to the Series X..

Because the PS4 Pro is running the game at reduced visual quality-- similar to the previous generation's. The XSS is running it with the same next-gen enhancements as the PS5 and XSX.
 
There are already reports that review consoles for both XSX and PS5 have died.

The article for the XSX dying said it’s possible MS deactivated his console remotely because the reviewer broke several NDA violations.

VGC has uncovered one key difference between the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game when you’re playing on a next-gen console. The PS5 has a performance mode in the settings, and when activated the resolution takes a minor hit to give the console what it needs to try and hit 60 frames per second.

The Xbox Series X has this too, but it has an extra “quality mode” that does the exact opposite. If you’re willing to play at 30fps you can boost the resolution to its uppermost limit.

One thing we should note right now is that the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 is a last-gen game, playing on the PS5 and Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility. A next-gen upgrade isn’t due until sometime next year, which means it hasn’t been optimized for the more advanced hardware and can’t take full advantage of what’s on offer.
Cyberpunk’s seeming lack of PS5 performance options could be due to an issue with the way the console handles backwards compatibility.

Recently, a number of games including Star Wars: Squadrons, Call of Duty: Warzone and Rocket League have received performance updates for those playing on Xbox Series X, but not PS5.

Enabling next-gen performance features such as 120fps reportedly requires a full native port on PS5, while Microsoft allows such features to be added via a backwards compatibility patch.

Rocket League developer Psyonix explained in a statement issued to Eurogamer: “Enabling 120hz on Xbox Series X|S is a minor patch, but enabling it on PS5 requires a full native port due to how backwards compatibility is implemented on the console, and unfortunately wasn’t possible due to our focus elsewhere.”
It could be the superior simplicity of the backwards patch on the XB1, or it could be that the PS5 simply lacks the processing power to meet 4K@30fps without additional graphical reductions. This isn't the difference of 10-15fps minimum drops. This is, similar to Star Wars: Squadrons, an entirely different setting. If so, a quick patch is unlikely, so this ought to tell the story.

This is the second. Keep in mind that if you calibrated a system to hit an average 1440p@60fps that 4K@30fps is pushing 2.25x as many pixels.
