He is so salty though ain't he? He's probably all like "whoops I wish I hadn't posted that. Now all these PC gamers are picking on meI feel sorry for these console peasants
Soon? With PC getting Sony exclusives, MS exclusives and now Japanese devs coming over it's gone beyond the master race and has evolved into god status. Soon the only real reason to have a console will be to avoid the nonstop cheaters on PC multiplayer games.

You’re kind of a weird guy. Dial it back a bit.He is so salty though ain't he? He's probably all like "whoops I wish I hadn't posted that. Now all these PC gamers are picking on me"

It's only tangentially related, but definitely on topic when discussing developer interest due to the much stronger affinity between the PC platform and Xbox; especially through services like Game Pass. There's nothing salty about Dizzy's post.
1. First of all this is a console war thread. Mentioning PC is beating all format is a "No shit Sherlock" statement. PC has always been the top choices for the majority of developers. Steam released 7049 (2017), 9050 (2018), and 8.033 (2019) games. That's just Steam games. Which console is matching that output? But XBox is being shitted on by both Playstation and Switch. New consoles, same results for the past few years apparently..
Is he? Doubtful. I just caught him in the other thread pretending to have first hand experience of how EA Play works, but because he tried faking his way though a smear of Xbox's Game Pass integration with EA Play, presumably by parroting something he read online that he wrongly thought he understood, he embarrassed himself by asserting something that anyone who uses Game Pass and the EA Play desktop app plainly knows is false (e.g. he claimed that you don't choose the install folder for EA Play games). He has no familiarity with the UI.2. Dizzy is a part of the PC Master race himself. Same here - just built a $4000+ rig with a 3090. Yes we are getting most if not all of the games on the format but it still the most expensive platform to get into by far. And we're not getting any discounts or deals if we own Ultimate Game Pass (which i thought of doing but am no longer considering since I am not getting any benefits based on my gaming purchasing preference/history) so XBox format is truly split off from PC IMO. The last few games I bought on PC are: Cyberpunk 2077, Valheim, Grounded, Outriders, It Takes Two. The only game that was free on UGP from this list is Grounded and it wasn't even my choice (buddy wanted to try it so i bought it along with him - another buggy ass game). Will be buying RE Village soon.
Furthermore, towards the last part, in the most recent disclosed fiscal quarter, Sony's Playstation division did $5.9bn to the Xbox division's $5.35bn in gross revenue. Meanwhile, over the past nine months, despite the highest number of console sales for the Switch's lifespan, Nintendo only did $12.85bn revenue ($4.28bn per quarter). So I would NOT characterize that as either "shitting" on the Xbox.
No, it's not. Microsoft has repeatedly issued statements that they can't keep up with demand. They're selling out in all markets. We can only surmise they knew their console would be less in-demand, and ordered fewer units, or were only able to negotiate with manufacturers to buy fewer units.Just to weigh in though, you have to remember that ps5 demand is bottlenecked while Xbox is readily available.

Furthermore, console sales make up only a small fraction of revenue. For example, ~75% of Sony's revenue comes from games sales (60%) and streaming services (14%).

His fatal flaw was in first presenting this as his personal experience with the software. I leave it to the forum to surmise why someone would pretend to use software they've never used.
Where is Xbox readily available? I e been looking since release and the only one I’ve ever found was a series s on Walmart and it was out of stock 2 mins later. Also at least on my local Craig’s list bot Xbox and ps5 are selling for around 700 dollars, you would think if demand was so much higher for ps5 you would still be seeing them offered for close to 1000 like they were at release. Maybe they still are but it doesn’t seem to be the case in my state.Just to weigh in though, you have to remember that ps5 demand is bottlenecked while Xbox is readily available. Basically many more ppl want the ps5 but can’t get it.
Nearly all those that want the Xbox, can get it.
Another thing, related, is that digital / games sales make a big part of the PlayStation's bottom line but that bottlenecked console sales is understandably limiting their digital / games sales.
So, I think, once that bottleneck is removed and console supply hits normal, there’s a good chance Sony’s gaming revenue will start outpacing Microsoft’s pretty handily.
I dont see Naughty Dog games coming to PC anytime soon, if at all (imagine fan boy meltdowns) but GOW will surely come and sell like like gangbusters. Even Days Gone is going to do well. That game cries for mods. I hated how fragile the bike waswell that just came out so I don’t expect to see it anytime soon. Jim Ryan confirmed a whole slate of games are coming after days gone. Horizon sold 716,000 in its first month of release. Numbers like that are to appealing to just ignore. Wait till they see what god of war does on pc.
I'm pointing out demand exceeds supply for both consoles, not that demand is equal-- because supply clearly is not.So you think Xbox console demand is the same as Sony’s ???
The second part of your answer matches up with what I’m saying.
Anyways. No point arguing now. We’ll know in a year or so, I guess.
Oh, look, a shoop.You didn’t catch shit.
You deleted my posts and banned me from the thread when you got caught with your pants down.
Here’s a screen grab where you can’t select the path, it’s a blank pop up:

You have to manually type in the path if you’re changing it from the default like I had to.
And here’s my laptop, right next to my PS5.

A liar and a troll. How you’re allowed to be a mod is fucking unfathomable.
Here is a screenshot of the Settings folder in the app. Finally downloaded an EA title through Game Pass on PC and it’s pretty shitty. First, you can’t designate where you want the games to be downloaded like literally every other launcher.
Now click on the link that says “Change” next to the Install Location and take a screenshot of what pops up.I'm pointing out demand exceeds supply for both consoles, not that demand is equal-- because supply clearly is not.
Oh, look, a shoop.

Navigating to a custom install folder doesn't require typing anything-- you navigate to an alternative folder in the browser. You can create a new folder from the navigation pane just like you can in Windows Explorer if you desire. This is how it has worked for me since the first day the EA Play app was added to Game Pass for PC users, and I've installed multiple games to custom directories without issue.
One of us is a phony who is trolling, alright. Now do the thing where you freak out and meltdown into a flame tantrum. I've made my point.

I know quite a few gamers who only want a PS5 and more that wanted a PS5 but had to settle for an XBox Series X/S. The demand is far far greater for a PS5 than it is for the Series X/S. People are willing to pay way more above the MSRP for a PS5 than the Series X/S. At least that's according to my sources (friend of my relative who's in these groups that snags consoles/GPUs and sells them for a shit ton).
