Or get the PC version so you aren't stuck playing an FPS with a controller in 2021.
Don’t have a PC.

The OG Crysis still looks fantastic (especially if you use the realism mod). It was ported to 360 and PS3 in 2011.Don’t have a PC.

When not forced to develop through buyouts, the choice is clear.
“Most interested in now” PS5 is doing all kinds of cool shit. But I agree, not really surprising. Not really surprising. PS4 and Nintendo Switch vastly outsold the Xbox one by massive numbers. You'd have to be kind of dunce to more interested in developing your games for the system with the smallest install base.

It can't quite beat interest in PC, though.
GDC’s 2021 State of the Game Industry report is based on a survey of over 3,000 games industry professionals. Of the people polled, 44% said they were most interested in the PlayStation 5 from a developer perspective. That positions it as the most popular console in the survey, ahead of the Nintendo Switch (38%), the Xbox Series X|S (30%). It's also ahead of VR platforms (27%), too.
While developer interest in the PS5 is significantly higher than the Xbox Series X among those polled, all consoles paled in comparison to the PC, which commands 58% of the vote. GDC's 2020 survey also saw the PC lead the platform pack, which is overall unsurprising considering the continued player interest in PC gaming and the open development nature of the platform.
That's a very positive indicator for Sony. At the same time, I'm personally most happy to see that...
- PC = 58%
- PS5 = 44%
- Switch = 36%
- XSX/XSS = 30%
- VR = 27%

Also, upon further reflection, it dawns on me that this is really a win for the Xbox. Because the Xbox abandoned true "full exclusives" this generation. Everything releases simultaneously to the PC and the Xbox. Developers who are prioritizing the PC are more likely to be developing for the Xbox, not specifically, but by proxy.
I crunched the numbers today, since none of the articles shared them, as NPD didn't share them, and oddly, VGChartz shows that the PS5 isn't the fastest selling console at launch after five months in the USA.
Total Units Sold 5 Months After Launch
- PS5: 2.896m units sold
- XSX: 2.202m units sold
- NS: 2.006m units sold
- PS4: 3.203m units sold
- XB1: 2.647m units sold
You're confusing past inaccuracies with game sales projections (which largely resulted from the difficulty in tracking digital sales, and they only tracked physical sales for a long time).I'd be wary of using VGChartz because they have (or least had) a reputation for inflating game sales. Maybe things have changed though. It's hard to find "official" figures unless a company like Capcom posts their best selling numbers on their IR site.
Well of course. Developing for a bronze medalist is never going to be as appealing.Yea but I think it has less to do with PS5 doing cool shit and more to do with devs knowing where the fan base is going and it's not Xbox.

I knew you couldn't help but be salty. Can you check the thread title for me?
Well considering I’m both a PC gamer and own a PS5, I’m sitting very pretty.I knew you couldn't help but be salty.
Not exactly a stretch, me referencing a survey you posted now is it? Stay salty my friend

It seems like PC won't get Sony games until at least a year after the console release though. That's still a big deal. With PC getting Sony exclusives, MS exclusives and now Japanese devs coming over it's gone beyond the master race and has evolved into god status. Soon the only real reason to have a console will be to avoid the nonstop cheaters on PC multiplayer games.

If they even show up on PC at all. Just look at the Demon's Souls remake. To some people. I don't mind it. I have tons of games to play as it is.
