To me it sounds like you are bragging about your country being fuckedNo, good for him actually. Just saying it's nothing comparable to the situation of a lot of fighters in the US.

Crumlin is a pretty tough area but it would be a lot more built up than where Diaz is from. Like any other rough part of Dublin they're mostly hardworking blue collar people. I imagine most of the UFC roster are from areas just as rough as where Diaz is from but they just don't choose to use it as a gimmick or act like gangstas.
Nate is just saying shit just like Conor's saying shit.I'm sure there are some Conor historians around here who have watched more interviews and stuff that I have...
Nate mentioned in that fox sports bit yesterday that Conor was a "rich kid" growing up. How much truth is there to that?
Media has played through the stories of Conor not having any money but that was during his early adulthood and doesn't necessarily mean his parents were also poor. I've seen a video inside McGregor's parents' house and it seemed like a middle class family home but I guess I could be wrong.
I understand that "rich" to Nate's childhood standards probably doesn't mean what most people think it means but does anyone have any idea of what Conor's parents did/do when McGregor was growing up?
He was a plumber before picking up a boxing, then MMA career.
Rich kid =/= plumber.
Reading this thread, I get the impression Conor's father was a taxi driver.
I've never understood bragging about having the harder time and demonizing people who's parents were responsible enough to marry someone they actually love, stayed with, and provided adequate finances for their family.
Such a bizarre world we live in.
Old enough to make a living as plumber =/= childhoodHe was a plumber before picking up a boxing, then MMA career.
Rich kid =/= plumber.
He had the typical working class background seen across the whole of the British Isles. Not poor, but not rich either.
Be proud of what you overcame, but that is only half of what I said.If you had a harder time as a kid you had to work harder to get where you are now than someone born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Why wouldn't you brag about overcoming difficult circumstances? Seems pretty respectable to me.
Most of Nate's school friends are in jail or dead right now, or on their way there. Nate's teaching seminars and fighting for millions of dollars.
Sounds like something to brag about to me.
