i'm not saying conor has a better camp than diaz (he doesn't); i just said TS left out gunnie on purpose.

You may be correct about TS. Andre Ward is an undefeated world champion boxer who is either 1 or 2 p4p ranked. I think comparing that to someone who got the gold in bjj tournaments is a little crazy personally. I appreciate having an actual civil debate with you. I'm not saying either camp is better but think Diaz camp is more accomplished. I think that whatever Conor did worked well for him to a certain point which we often see with fighters. But I think he's hit the plateau and he needs to raise his level of talent surrounding him to evolve further.

We aren't talking Bjj bud we are talking mma. If every bjj ace translated to mma champ Marcelo Garcia would own it as would roger Gracie but they just don't. Gunnar has a slick ground game but he shouldn't be the best guy in a champions camp. With that said Conor made it to champion with barely any help so it's actually a complement. But now it will hold him back. The Diaz camp is filled with killers who fought at the elite level and held belts like nick in Strikeforce the same place DC, Rockhard, Woodley and Werdum were fighting in. Shields held a belt and fought for the UFC and Gil was probably the best or top 3 best lw in the world when he was in his prime. No one wanted the gil fight when he was champ in sf having battles with Josh Thomson. They have Cesar Gracie for bjj tho they may have strayed from him, and they box with Andre Ward and another world champion boxer from Phillipines Luspisoto or whatever his last name is. MCG should venture out for better talent to surround himself with.

That's all well and good, Diaz sr won a title in Strikeforce along with Melendez, but it's what you make of the training and how dedicated you are, I reckon. The two Brothers have gone though phases where they don6't fight regularly enough and despite, like what all fighter's say - having the best team in the world - they've done okay.

The chap who started the thread seems like a troll, but there does seem to be people on here who think all Conor does is train with Artem and Portal. I know for his fight with dos Anjos he brought in a guy originally from Dublin but living in the States for Muay Thai training, Ryan Hall before the Aldo fight and he trains regularly at a pro Boxing gym ran by Steve Collins' brother. He could be bringing in people but just not saying anything about it. When Diaz kept asking him 'who you train with?' Conor could have killed that conversation by saying 'how many belts does your team hold?'

I think you're very right in saying training with certain people will get you so far, but Conor and his team are not opposed to cross training with other people from outside. Even though the gyms are linked Conor is over in Iceland now, probably training grappling. That loss to Diaz could be what makes him go to the next level. We've seen it before with fighters after a loss when they come back better and have a different range of skill sets. But that's what MMA should always be about.

I didn't need to go thru your post history dipshit how could anyone forget a lame hater thread like that. You are always spewing garbage acting like an expert. I'm not the one starting shit keyboard warrior. I don't think it makes me tough to have my screen name after the sweetest most loyal shelter rescue dogs in the world. It doesn't make me tough to train something that happens to be used in combat sports. Don't have a screen name that screams mom's basement and then be a dick and rip on others.
