He never apologized.

Whether you consider him guilty or innocent, he simply let time pass. He gradually mellowed and became more philosophical. He took up homing pigeons as a pastime.

He regained a major fanbase. Unfortunately, he didn't knock the hell out of Jake Paul.

It's possible that Conor follows a similar path in the years ahead. None of us really knows where things go from hehere.

Conor made pennies with the UFC compared to his outside of UFC endeavors which is a well that has completely dried up after being cancelled.

I agree that the UFC will still keep him on and let him fight anytime he wants, but he's getting up there, coming off a horrific injury, and years of drug abuse.

How compelling of a fighter will he be when he's not even top 10 quality in any division? Is the world clamouring to see Conor vs Dan Hooker? I think it could do well like Tyson just did against Jake Paul, but how many people are clamouring for the next Tyson fight? Or the next Jake Paul fight for that matter?

Conor's staying power as a must see fighter is already on shaky legs given he hasn't won a meaningful fight in well over half a decade, and the UFC have him locked up. Another loss or two and that's done with as well.
