It would be appreciated if a mod could add a poll to this thread.

Let's assume Conor gets away with a slap on the wrist, keeps his licence/visa, and the fight is made this year.

Kebab is a pretty obvious pick imo. Cardio, chin, size, and wrestling are McGregory's weaknesses and Kebab has all of them.

I give Conor about a 10% chance of getting something done on the feet before he gasses in 8 minutes. And that would have to be a sustained beating on the feet too, Kebab is not a shook manlet, he is going to take single left hands from Conor just fine.

This notion that Conor is a legit KO artist needs to stop. It's hilarious that so many people think he "sleeps" Kebab. The only person he's "slept" in the UFC is Aldo - a tiny shook manlet who literally ran onto a counter left cross.

By MMA standards Conor has legit timing and accuracy, and that combined with his excellent reach and composure, enables him to outbox most UFC fighters easily. But he's not a proper puncher. He's just a solid amateur boxer who is exposing MMA's lack of boxing ability, against smaller fighters no less.

Even Floyd, a retired 40 year old who started his career at 130, walked through his shots like nothing, smirking. He gave Conor's "power" less respect than anyone in his entire career.

Kebab might not have the chin (and obviously not the defence) of an elite boxer, but just like Diaz he'll be the only fighter Conor has fought that's at least as big, and tough as nails. He's big, strong as an ox, has a face like a spade, and has never been hurt or defeated.

He'll walk Conor down, drag him to the ground and just beat the shit out of him for a few rounds until Conor gives up and allows Kebab an easy submission win.

Khabib's chin-up, lean back defense is perfect for getting KTFO by a straight left.

If khabib gets Conor down early and keeps him there.......khabib wins

If Conor lands a few early......Conor wins

Popcorn wins. Can you imagine how big the fight will be? The UFC would promote the shit out of it with footage of the bus attack, arrest and court room proceedings. It would be the biggest fight in UFC history by a huge margin. Conor is a goddamn genius promoter. I can't wait!

Your assessment is spot on I'd say

At what, a Tweeting contest?

Cocainor isn't a fighter. Otherwise, he would fight.

I'm not holding my breath! Conor got submitted by Nate, that's a good indication of what would happen!

Don't stop making these Conor vs Khabib threads folks... we need as many as we can get.

Im a Conor fan but my honest opinion is Khabib gets caught early and finally has to respect the hands of someone. Conor is that good at accuracy and timing. It will change how he enters and he will just get caught again. I think he gets Conor down but at the start of the second he gets knocked down...made to stand and finished.

Khabib also barely makes the weight. Who knows how long he can keep fighting at 155.

there are many variables.

will conor be somewhat successful at stopping takedowns? will he be able to stop the passing of khabib, escape bad positions and stand back up? he did all of this against chad. and iaquinta was able to do this against khabib. i dont find this line of thinking to be impossible

one thing is for sure, if khabib is forced to stand with conor, he is not going to last long. that is more certain than conor being finished quickly on the ground without doubt, in my mind.

gun to my head? im taking conor by TKO

If Conor was a 1 punch KO artist and Kebab had shown a vulnerable chin before, then sure.

As it stands I think he'll take Conor's shots just fine, even though he'll obviously get oustruck as he's nowhere near as good a boxer.

You'd have to think the threat of takedowns would make Conor more tentative too. He wasn't scared of Mendes, but Mendes is about 5'2 and didn't pose much of a threat on the ground. Kebab is a beast there.

I Think this thread was made 10 times last night

I actually started it with the intention of making a poll, to get an idea of where sherdog really stands with this matchup. But bizarrely, you can't even make a poll on sherdog without asking the mods or paying money for the privilege it seems :D

Either Conor catches Khabib or he gets taken down and mauled

To point out the obvious....

Conor is never fighting Khabib. I just feel sad for anyone who truly thinks otherwise....

And to end....IF they ever did actually fight, there is no objective person who has any idea what they're talking about who thinks Conor stands any possible chance outside of a miracle....

That should wrap up all discussion on this subject....

Khabib smashes him.

Get used to this face all you little Conor bitches. He’s here to stay.
