Sure buddy! Maybe in fantasy land where Khabib and Ali call the shots. There is no pre-requisite, what is going on here is Ali is trying to give Islam some publicity. Conor will more than likely get his rematch after Gaethje/Khabib assuming he wins. Ali is just playing the game.

I have it in favor of conor but I'm curious to see how mgregor responds to islams grappling. Its much different than khabib, lots of leg sweeps. I think upper body wise, islam is stronger there too. But islam likes to strike. If he strikes with mcgregor, I just see a knockout.

The x factor is how good is islam's grappling. Is it enough to slow down mcgregor? His grappling is good, but doesn't look as dominant as khabib's. we haven't seen it tested against elite talent.

If Conor is such a draw (which he is) he doesnt need to depend on an opponent to sell.

That said, Islam is widely known even if it's due to Khabib. UFC would have an easy time promoting it especially will all the history including Islam's involvement in the brawl.

Correct Ali cant dictate who fights who but here he's the messenger. Khabib dictates who he fights and he's given his condition to Conor thru Ali.

It just makes no sense for Conor to want to fight a guy ranked #11 when he is 'retired' and has been fighting far higher ranked and bigger names in the sport.

Islam has not beaten anyone worthy to warrant a fight of Conor. The only reason people are mentioning this is because he is teammates with Khabib.

Also repeating myself again but didnt Khabib say for Conor to earn a rematch he has to deserve it and go on a massive win streak. and now you're saying he only needs to fight one guy ranked outside the top 10 in order to warrant another title shot?? That sounds pretty contradicting but ok.

The whole Conor vs Islam talk isn't serious. It's not going to happen anyway. If Conor does come back it will be for a bigger name against a higher ranked opponent. Conor who is the bigger name in the sport fighting a guy ranked 11 makes no sense at all.

I doubt it, they'd say fuck that Khabib either take the fight or retire. And of course you're forgetting that Conor would likley have plenty to say as well. I'd imagine most of it would be colourful and none of it would entail him agreeing to fight Islam.
