Conor mentally breaking Dustin

We saw Conor lose arguably twice to Nate Diaz and the first fight was short notice out partying Nate Diaz. Poirier has a lot more than a punchers chance here.

I agree. I was just pointing out that I think that Dustin has matured and won't fall for the shit talk like he did the first time. Conor has slowed down and Dustin could stop Conor
I still think match up wise McGregor's karate based striking will always have the advantage over Porier's pure boxing approach but if McGregor can't finish it early I think he's in trouble. He's not ready for a dogfight.

Nah, it's not that simple. Everybody knows it's not genuine, it's a show. It's funny as hell, and it's entertaining, but it's a character. He's broke character too many times, and lost too many times after saying the same shit. "gonna ping (Nate/Khabib/Floyd)'s head off the canvas.

Everybody know he's just promoting the fight.

Khabib have never been in this much danger to being finished, even he sad its was close one. Dont give me nah i know Khabib would escape.

He never had control of Khabib's body, and Khabib has a huge ass head. I wasn't worried one bit, though it seemed closer on replay.

Glad Dustin tried it though. Would have been way too one sided otherwise.

Yes he's promoting the fight but it would be foolish to not think he is still dangerous. People just don't like him for whatever reason, could be the money/jealousy/attention/stuff he says, whatever it might be. He's lost to the very best who are undefeated, who everyone else lost to as well. But all the other fighters don't get the same hate towards them as Conor does. He avenged his loss to Nate, but the others are to the very best undefeated fighters. If he wins in devastating fashion he can talk again and it will be respected/feared. He was that type of fighter before and he can be again, it's just a matter of winning his next fights in impressive fashion. Ngannou was able to turn it around, Conor can also.

I did have a half second "wait wut" when his arm was in a weird position, but I got faith in that huge dome of Khabib's.

I was shitting myself during the first couple of minutes of RD1 and 2 of the Conor fight, not because I thought Khabib would lose, but I feared even the flukey 5-10% chance of Conor landing something, and then having to listen to him/his stupid fanbase for years about it.

Since that fight Poirier has gone 10-2-0-1 and established himself as a top LW.

McGregor has retired, unretired, been arrested, done a bunch of drugs, tried boxing, started a brand of mediocre whiskey, tweeted a whole lot, and fought less than once a year.

There is every reason to think that.
 
Is poirier really a different fighter? Did he get a new Pea head? All it took for Conor was 1 clean shot to the back of the temple (then several to the back of the head) to cement it. He’ll have 25 mins to do so again

Poirier is the only time i have ever felt like this is maybe the end. Honestly i felt 100% confidence that Khabib would win against Conor. Conor only chance to win was via finish and we know Khabib have a granite chin.

agree , I was like thats it for Khabib and at the same time I was afraid that the ref. could stop the fight.
Khabib moved to side and back and and managed the situation masterfull.
this was without a doubt the biggest danger Khabib was in a fight.
 
Also, I don´t think Conor breaks anyone mentally anymore. When he arrived, he took the BS and trashtalk to another level, but the act is already well known and stale.

I agree. In the 6 years since their last fight Dustin has fought and beaten some of the best fighters in the sport consistently at his perfect weight (LW). Conor has been battling legal issues and addiction while Dustin has found new depths to his will and fighting ability. Dustin has found his groove and gotten exponentially better. If anyone is a “2.0” since their last fight it’s DIAMOND 2.0!
 
So the guy that was accusing Tony of meth got banned? How long before TS comes back as a different account.
