Conor McGregor Haters Admit It

2. You can say a lot of things about McGregor but that he's 'ducking' people is easily the least true accusation made at him on here. The guy fights like he talks... no doubt about that. From almost the moment he got to the UFC he was aiming at the top and relentlessly called out/bullied/embarrassed the P4P#1, 10-year-unbeaten champion of his division before knocking him out cold. Then he decides to immediately go to the division above and take on a very intimidating champion in RDA. Oh, just as a side note, both these absolute war-horses pulled out of their fight with Conor the first time and he took two completely different opponents on days/weeks notice. But yeah, he's scared to fight people.
He probably knew that Nate was not fit for a fight, compared to the other fighters that wanted to step in, like Cowboy & Khabib for example.

Personally, win or lose, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be interested in his fights. Unless he just starts getting grappled to death over an over. But as long as he puts on exciting fights, I'm tuning in. I do give him respect for moving up in weight even though I don't buy the whole two weight class thing. He was willing to fight RDA. That alone takes huge balls. I admire his audacity. And he's an all around funny guy.

I guess I'm not a Conor hater though. I'm just a guy who bet against him in the first Diaz fight. I just don't see him doing well at 155. But I enjoy his fights and I enjoy his off ring banter.

Could not care less about finances, or if he is fighting often or not, he is not my favorite fighter.

If you care about it, then sure, props to him.

Nate is a LW dude. He's too small for WW. Conor, on the other hand has a frame that could more easily put him up at WW. He's humongous for a FW because he cuts an enormous amount of weight and that's why he looks like skeletor at the weigh ins. Hell, he's bigger than RDA when standing next to him at LW. At the end of the day though they're both fighters who belong at LW..... No matter what weight they may have or have not fought at

2 LW's not cutting weight isn't a jump to MW competition like the fuck tards here are actually implying with the "moving up 2 divisions dur hur...." . It's fucking moronic and lame sauce....

The reality, though, is that Diaz has to cut for both WW and LW... just a lot more for LW so that it's a bit difficult. He couldn't make FW regardless of how hard he tried. Conor cuts a little to make LW but it's relatively easy while he doesn't cut anything for WW.... in fact he likely stood on the scales with a full stomach. There's a reason Diaz hit the scales at an even 170... he does cut weight to make it.. it's just like Conor fighting at LW. Essentially Conor is fighting a guy who's one weight class above. Diaz does best at 155 while Conor likely is in best form at 145... but may be able to do just as well at 155.. we simply don't know. One thing is certain.. he won't perform to his best at WW.

Nate hasn't fought at welterweight in like half a decade lol

Let's not pretend he's had a Dan Henderson like career with regards to weight divisions. He's got 4 fights at 170lbs, the other 25 were at 155. He's a lightweight.

Where were you a few days ago? Go back to page 8. I was having this same ridiculous argument with Big_Chief_Stove. Some people just refuse to acknowledge facts and logic.

Conor is a tough S.O.B! Talented bt may be a tad delusional about how good he is, as are his fans. He was a 3-1 favorite over Nate "Frickin" Diaz lol. I won some shots off of that but should have bet money like I was going t. Saying all that Diaz walks around at 180 when training, Mcgregor 173. Not muchof a difference IMO when you have to cut more than 15lbs to make the next weight class.

Dominates the #1 p4p fighter in the sport in 13 seconds. The 155 pound shot was well deserved. Frankie is a weaker figher in comparison to RDA. Then instead of pulling off the card with the late notice change (like 99% of other fighters would do) he SAVES the card by taking on Nate Diaz at WW.

You have no legitimate reasons to hate the guy. It must be something else. Like I said, you're insecure.
Cloner fought the goat Jon goat Jones?

After watching Mendes maul him until he gassed due to the short notice, yeah it's completely reasonable to say he's ducking the hell out of a wrestler, with insane cardio and a rock solid chin.
Now Mendez mauled him? He lost on the feet to Mcgregor... successfully took it to the ground and landed a handful of good strikes. Then tried an absolutely foolish submission attempt and got lit up. Mendez in no way shape or form mauled him. It was Mcgregors only competitive fight at FW... that is true. But he handily won the fight by winning the first round then TKO'ing him in the second. Yup he got taken down and yes he didn't decide where the fight took place 100% of the time but he fended off half the take downs against the best wrestler in the division while fresh and oitstruck him by quite in between takedowns.

wait, so "user bashing" is still legal?

not that he's bashing us, but he's making Conor fans look worse. it's like Florian'd the whole OP and put his name on it....

Do you know that the only wws Nate beat were Markham and Davis, both smaller than Conor

Markham's enormous I remember Rogan saying he couldn't understand how the guy could fight at WW.

In fact he weighed in at 177lbs Vs Nate because he was trying to cut too much weight.

Yea I love that he fights a lot. It's sweet that he's taken short notice opponents but comparing him to like Werdum isn't really fair.

Conor has accepted short notice fights when he had something to gain from them.. He got Mendes when he was out of shape and got a free interim belt attached to the fight. He got Nate when he was out of shape and didn't have to risk his belt.

With Werdum if he accepted Miocic on short notice he still had to put his belt on the line. So he had a lot of risk and nothing to gain except for knocking off an opponent when they don't get a full camp (which is actually a pretty nice benefit).

So like... I still really appreciate that Conor accepts fights on short notice, but don't just assume that it's not also self-serving.

Height and reach wise he is smaller than Conor

Edit. Same height but smaller reach

UFC.com has him at 5"11, they got Conor at 5"9
Wiki has them both at 5"10,and ufc has also listed Conor at 5"10 at times. Never trust ufc stats tho especially when it comes to thier darlings

Edit. Eve if 5"9 the reach difference evens it out

If you look at my previous post he's basically the same size as 6" Dan Hardy who's not much shorter than 6"2 rumble.

Relax
Again, for the 357th time today....he DID NOT MOVE UP 2 WEIGHT CLASSES. He is simply not cutting weight and fighting another LW fighter who IS ALSO NOT CUTTING WEIGHT.....He is not fighting a WW fighter fucktards!

Cheezus you people are fuggin stupid!!

Superstars are temporarily good for the sport for however long their moment lasts.

Long term, I'm not so sure. If people are to become long term fans then they have to be interested in the sport as a whole, not just one guy. Individual stars should enhance the sport, not carry it.

There is simply no characters like him so it is what it is
