But I have NEVER met an actual Jones fan.

And I’ve only met ONE Conor fan in real life. He was a first generation American. Whose parents had emigrated from Ireland to NYC.

And I am so happy he never saw what Conor became. Conor beat Aldo in December, 2015. My dear friend died a month later.. in January, 2016.

He spent his last year in hospital. Every Saturday night, I’d throw my laptop in my backpack. Hop on my Harley, and go to the hospital, and watch the fights with my friend. Every weekend that had a card. Just like we did at home.

He was pretty out of it by December, 2015. But I always went to the hospital to watch the fights with him anyway.

I’d like to think he realized his favourite fighter won the belt. But I’m honestly not sure. I only got a vague smile, from him.
 
Probably has a better chance at winning an election than a fight at this point, neither are very good odds though.

Sure but I posed the hypothetical question as if those were the only two choices, I found it strange that nobody would vote for Conor in that scenario. Youd rather vote for the importation of thousand of potential rapists then you would vote for an alleged one.

I am not even sure half the US voted, but maybe? I dunno what answer you're looking for. Trump was asked long ago, if he ran for politics which party he'd choose. He singled out the Republicans because it was the easy vote to get. Turns out he was right.

Not quite sure of the "looking in the mirror" thing... I mean, I'm not Donnie or Connie, and I'm not running for office or trying to decide a country's future. I'm just saying you get what you pay, or vote, for. Nor am I saying my country doesn't have its share of idiot politicians... we're struggling with the consequences of having made poor choices too.

I mean, if people are going to pretend that Conor's not copying Trump fine, whatever. Should we also pretend that Ireland has equal leverage as the USA on the global stage too? Or that Conor actually has any relevant political experience? I don't actually care if Conor runs or not. But if he does, and it proves to be a huge mistake... no one else to blame but themselves.

I think Conor's put so much coke up his nose he thinks he's buddies with Donald now and can turn Ireland into a state. Can't wait to watch this trainwreck unfold though (Conor's case I mean), should be entertaining.
