Why are people acting like a weight loss of 25 pounds (11 kg) is soo hard? Maybe 10 pounds extra as walkaround
A man can easily lose muscle, it´s not like he will lose his ability to fight.
Any man on this earth would do it to earn that kind of money, fame and the UFC belt.
If he can not win at 170, of course he would go back to where he is the best in the world..

following are pictures of men who lost weight to earn millions..

he's always made weight, people like to bitch about things on here..... you'll get used to it

Yeah, well... decent troll job. Not that bad.

On a more serious note though, yeah, I'm not really sure if I agree with all those "Conor will never make 145 again" claims. Someone said it and all of a sudden everyone was repeating it, but it never came from John Kavanagh or Conor himself. Sure, it's a rough cut, but he never missed weight and was fighting at featherweight not long ago.

We'll see what happens next. I really want to see Conor and Frankie meeting along the way, I'm expecting fireworks out of this one.

Edit: I stand corrected.

IMO the belief that Conor won't fight at 145 again is a combination of things.

1. John Kavanagh said "I know in the lead-up [to 194], I did say a lot that I didn't want to see him [Conor McGregor] at 145 lbs again"

Then...

2. 2 months later the CSAC passed new weight cutting rules, including bans on IVs and dehydration.

Since then...

3. Conor has appeared to add a small amount of muscle mass (certainly hasn't lost any, which would be required if he were to make 145 again under the new CSAC rules).

And

4. There's really only 2 possible fights at 145, neither of which does Conor want. Edgar is an unfavorable stylistic matchup, and Conor couldn't do any better in a rematch with Aldo than he did in the first fight. And I'm not one that's convinced that a 1 punch 13 second knockout, is a guarantee of a similar result in a rematch (obviously GSP-Serra comes to mind, though certainly the talent gap between McG-Aldo is much closer than GSP-Serra).

If Conor had beat Diaz he certainly wasn't going to cut to 145 ever again. I'm absolutely positive about that.

However, since he lost to Diaz and his stock rightfully tumbled, cutting to 145 remained a real possibility. Since then Conor's antics have guaranteed (according to Dana) that Conor will have to make the cut for his next fight. I just don't think Conor will make the cut as successfully as he has in the past. IF he makes the weight, his suspect cardio is likely to bite him in the ass.

Because of Conor's poor recent decisions/tweets, I think he'll have to TRY to make the cut again, but I highly doubt he'll make 145 and then win a fight versus Edgar/Aldo.

Kavanaugh told Dana that Conor McGregor "will never fight at 145 again," before the Aldo/McGregor post fight press conference. It was discussed at said presser. I'm aware that Dana has stated since then that McGregor will defend against Aldo/Edgar, but yes Kavanaugh has said it before.

Still hoping for Conor vs. Frankie though.

On a side note looking back, Christian Bale went way over the top.

Im not trolling, Im interested in healthy weight loss / body transformation and i have seen alot of people making threads about him not ever returning to 145.. I just wondered why people say that :)

Well, you're just tryin your absolute
darndest to make it into every Conor
thread to defend your bf, huh?

Don't worry, he's a big boy...
he can take care of himself.

...Unless you're 170lbs, of course

He was already absolutely killing himself to make 145 before adding extra mass. It's a pretty reasonable assumption that we won't ever see him make the weight again (and if he tries to and does somehow make it back down, we could have an Oscar against Manny scenario where he is completely dead at the weight).

in what way am I defending him by pointing out he's always made weight..... and no, ive not been in all the Conor threads as most of them are ridiculous threads started by goons like yourself

Jared Leto and Jon Favreau are the yo-yo goats.

Indeed, he has.

his ability to cut to 145 will be gone instantly if edgar beats aldo

mark my words

Yea he's gonna fight, once. 155 after that win or lose.

Teh fascination is real folks.

Well then his huggers have nothing to worry about, right ?

I'm just amazed that they don't even take their deity's health into account. But like he only thinks of himself. They are their own primary concern. LOL.

Nothing at all to suggest he can't make the weight. Just wishful thinking from haters that are still traumatised from the Aldo fight and terrified that the same might happen again in an Aldo rematch or even worse, to little old uncle Frankie.
