I believe Conor is waiting to see who wins the LW title between Khabib and Ferguson before he decides which direction to go.

If Khabib wins Conor fights Diaz or waits for the FW title after T city/Holloway

If Ferguson wins then Conor will be licking his chops for that fight and he will dominate slow start Ferguson.

If Khabib wins and Conor takes that money fight I will be really surprised but I don't see that happening

I agree. If Kabib wins I doubt conor will ever challenge for the LW belt again. But I don't think Conor will dominate Tony. I think it would be a great fight and I'm really bummed we didn't get to see it. I think Conor could finish him early. but if he didn't he would have a lot of trouble after the second round. Tony has a great gas tank. I think of him as a fast Nate Diaz. who Conor obviously struggles with.

The point is that he's waiting for real fighters to do his job for him by taking on the sharks in the LW tank so he doesn't have to. Ferguson might win, Khabib might win, but both would work Conor over and he knows they aren't even a little phased by his bullshit.
