Conor/edgar is toss up fight

I don't see how TS can favour Conor for the first 3 rounds. I give him the first 3 minutes. If he hasn't done the job by then. He loses this fight.

lets not overstate one fight.

serra koed gsp.

Low IQ post. Did pre GSP Serra have the stellar KO record Conor had prior to the Aldo bout? Serra's KO was an anomaly, Conor's was business as usual.

I think Conor can stuff some of Frankies TD's until he gets tired. I think this fight is really just a matter of conditioning.

I don't think the guy who got single legged by Diaz is stopping many of Edgars takedowns.

Conor has proved his "One tricked pony ness" I would give it to Edgar.....I would give it Aldo as well.

His one trick is some of the most aggressive and effective boxing in mma hahaha. He puts people out. Now that he got a reality check I think he'll likely work on his cardio like a savage. No Chance Aldo beats Conor. Edgar, maybe. But likely Conor knocks both of them out 3 rounds or less.

I favour Edgar and hope he wins.

People saying that Conor can't be effective after 1 or 2 rounds are being short-sighted.

Frankie has become very difficult to hit and I doubt Conor will employ the same tactics that caused him to gas out against Nate.

Could be an intriguing boxing match, until Frankie dumps him on his ass.

conor is a 145er. his conditioning and power didn't transfer over to 155. id still favor him over aldo and edgar but not as much as before.

Diaz is much bigger than Edgar and can you show me the gif of Conor getting single legged? I honestly don't remember it.

Edgar also fought at LW and was one of the best wrestlers there

Frankie has been on a run of terror lately but i favor conor in the first 3 rounds, if edgar can take his shots i see conor getting a 48-47 split. Your thoughts?

I think the 1st and 2nd rounds will be the most dangerous for Frankie, but I also see Frankie winning this fight by late sub or GnP.

not nearly. cMac might stuff some of answer's takedowns but he can't stuff 'em all. once conor starts to fade frankie will pull him down with ease like blinds. edgar's parade of elbows will lead to another tapout loss for a noisy train who never reigned.

and maybe then i'll jump in on frankie's train.

Hmmmm, how about conor vs EDGE for the featherweight title in a...MONEY IN THE BANK MATCH, if ya smellalalalalaww what B.F.A IS...cooking

Thanks, but he also used X guard and reversed him. Pretty impressive to do against someone with the BJJ credentials of Nate.

That only happened because Nate got silly and completely disrespected Conor and literally walked over Conors guard and started to punch him in the head without securing position.

Conor had nothing for Mendes from the bottom and Frankies top game is 5 times better than Mendes.

I don't think Edgar can take that left hand, but he might be just evasive enough to avoid it all together. Edgar could get the fight to the ground relatively easily too though. Right now calling it a split is the most reasonable thing to do.

LOL you think Diaz made him work? Conor gasses even faster against Frankie, who will keep him on his toes. The only way it's 48-47 is if there's two tie rounds and Frankie gets two points deducted.

Except Frankie is every bit as good a wrestler as Mendes, has the gas tank to go all five rounds, and has insane recovering ability, even after eating killshots. Calling it 50/50 is a Conor fan being optimistic. This fight is at least 75/25 in Frankies favor, with virtually all that 25 for Conor being chalked up to a puncher's chance.

That's assuming Frankie will be shooting in without setting it up. Frankie's whole game is based off of mixing things up very effectively.

75/25 is something a Conor hater would say in an attempt to be objective.

Edgar has struggled against larger opponents in the past, namely Benson Henderson. Obviously a very different fighter than Conor, but size may be a factor in the match up still.

He has never struggled against a guy who's ground game is as sorry as Conor's is. In fact the only fighters I can recall Frankie ever struggling against are Gray Maynard, BJ Penn, Benson Henderson, Jose Aldo, and to some extent, Charles Oliveira. I'm not even a Frankie Edgar fan, it's just that easy to see he is all wrong for McGregor.
