Conor campaining for a fight that hasn't been called off???!

conor wants to make it sound like he wants to fight nate. if he really wanted to, he would be fighting him at ufc 200.

my theory is conor had second thoughts on fighting nate and this is all an elaborate duck and the ufc is on it. backing out of the fight without losing face for conor

No chance UFC is on all this stupid negative publicity.

Then belt gets taken away

It waz the NY press conference where Dana White "eluded to the idea" that he wanted Conor on the first post 200 card that the winner of Aldo/Edgar could manage. It's close to the end of the press conference past 40 min. I think

He did say for sure that he wasn't looking for Conor to be on the NY card.

Dana said he's fighting the winner of Aldo v Edgar next
He also said Conor will fight soon though which would mean it probably wouldn't be against the winner of Aldo vs Edgar unless they have a really fast turnaround

Loses 10 million, does not get to fight Nate, slayed.

As much as i would like to believe this will happen , I know Dana has said a lot of things in the past that haven't transpired

What if Conor gets destroyed worse by Nate and needs more time-off?

This is meant to be bashing or baiting but it is perhaps unintentionally a strong point, Conor does not manage himself very well, he sells himself but makes bad choices. Unless it's for a belt at a weight he doesn't have to eat his way to he shouldn't contemplate it.

Good lord why don't you campaign to defend your title!

Conor did all that talking to earn the belt and now wants nothing to do with it.

And I truly agree that anyone can win the belt and only a true champion can defend it.

lol Conor is just ducking. He may look like he's complaining because that's what he wants us to believe, but he's really just ducking Nate. Nate has fought tougher guys than Conor, and can go on and on without gassing. Conor can't go two rounds without getting gassed by the end, especially now being heavier. He has nothing for Nate.

This is a little boy frightened for his life.

I've been saying this too. Once Dana didn't start absolutely destroying his character, I knew something was up.
If he starts his cut to 145, he could be on standby as an injury replacement for 200, and be set to fight the winner as soon as medically possible.
I'm sure they'd like to have him on 200, but if they can put him in a title defense at Madison Square Garden (with Rousey's return?) and make sure there are 2 huge cards this year, they'd be stoked.

He is not fighting at 200, its off. thats what happens when you mess with UFC. dont expect to see him again in 2016 either.

Yeah, you missed something. Dana has stated a few times that Conor's next fight will be the winner of Jose VS Frankie.

Where?

I've seen him say Conor might fight at 201 or 202, how would the winner of Aldo/Frankie be ready for that?

Two people in this thread has now claimed the UFC has officially announced that Conor is fighting Aldo/Edgar next. Still no link?

conor campaigning for teenagers in the first world believe he is not scared of the nate rematch

He said that at the vegas presser.
He also said afterwards that Conor could fight at 201/202

There was no official announcement, just Dana talking outloud.

Conor is never fighting for UFC again.

His massive ego cant handle being put in place by UFC brass. Plus he's rich so doesnt have to. Doubt Lorenzo gives in no matter how much PPV Conor can sell.

This is possible but honestly I think if this had happened we would have at least heard a rumor about it. Literally nothing close to that has been said but maybe they were just able to keep it that close to hand. I just feel like if this is what they wanted to do that Connor getting injured would be the better move as it doesn't make it look like he's ducking. Then the UFC can just come out and say they are forcing Connor to go back to 145 because he needs to defend the belt.

Did I miss something? I didn't hear the UFC say he wasn't still fighting Nate next?

None of all this stuff have to do with not wanting to do promotion or be at press conferences.

Conor's camp is trying to get the fans behind him to give pressure on the UFC but it's not really working. Although Conor have a lot of fans who backs him up, it seems he has an equal amounts of detractors. Seems to me that even though a lot of people will buy PPV's to watch Conor fight, there is a big amount of those people who watch to see him lose. Those people can't be used to pressure the UFC and that is why Conor is failing at using "his fans" for leverage. IMO.

There is only one way any of this makes sense and that is if UFC and Conor disagree on who he is fighting next, after Nate (and now add to that if he is fighting Nate). Conor wants to be in full control of who he is fighting next and the UFC isn't having it.

I've noted that Conor never made any comments to the UFC saying he was fighting to defend his belt after the Nate fight, no matter if he would lose or win. This is where the real issue is. The rest is smoke and mirrors.

IMO

Conor didn't want to do the media. He doesn't know how to market his cocky persona w a guy that beat him.

As punishment Dana pulled him off the card, it was officially called off and Diaz decided he wanted to vacation as well.
