He did pretty well at it against Condit, who's even bigger than Rory. Now, we obviously know he didn't KO Condit, but if Rory's the best at using his distance I'd say Hendricks may be the best at closing the distance.

In all these gifs, he's pretty much out of (what you'd think would be) his striking distance. His footwork, and the way he likes to lean forward, all assist him greatly in closing the distance and getting there even when you think he's out of range.

Rory has a good chance in beating Hendricks, but I don't see how Rory can stand and bang with Robbie on the feet. Ruthless was winning on points(believe it or not), and when Mac felt Lawler's power, he just wanted to take him down and lay & pray.

Even Firas recently said that Rory should've never traded shots with a guy like Robbie and that they had the better game plan. Rory's only chance in beating Lawler is by taking him down, which I think would be much harder to do...

When Ruthless Robbie Lawler get's that belt, I think he's going to tear shit up to a whole notha level...

I don't know about 8/10 but I do agree that Lawler seems to be the much tougher match up for Rory. For some reason I really like Rorys chances against Hendricks but I would much rather see Lawler get redemption against Hendricks. So just have to see how everything plays out i guess.

The only time I can really remember Hendricks "wrestlefucking" anyone, as people like to say he does, is later in the fight against Condit and that was because he had broken his hand and couldn't really punch.

People like to pretend that's what he did against Lawler in the 5th round, but it's absolutely false. Watch it, he doesn't take him down until there's just under a minute left in the fight. and before that take down he was out striking him 2 to 1.

The closest he's come to just getting tooled on the feet was against Lawler. That was back and forth, Hendricks tooled him just as much as he got tooled. Speaking of...man, is it not awesome when two guys with that style (like Hendricks and Lawler) just basically stand with their nose 2 feet apart and just fucking battle for 25 minutes?

If the WW champ can go in March/April then this scenario is highly unlikely. Why would they book a fight between Rory and Hector and push the next WW title defense back to May/June ? They also won't have Hector leapfrog Rory when the stars are aligned for Rory to get his chance in Montreal in the spring.

Robbie took it too him standing and had him badly hurt, he didn't embarrass him but also had the edge in the stand up

Johnnie has never faced an opponent with the unique skill set that Rory brings to the table and I wouldn't be suprised in the least if he outclassed Johnnie standing (unless Jonnie gets hit under 2 minute ko)
