Hi,

I hear that you need kick a punching bag with your legs to condition your shins for Muay Thai, but what I want to understand is: how does it physically condition them?

Your nerves die? Calcium deposits in the bones?

Second unrelated question: my left ear has been hurting slightly on and off for last few weeks.... not that bad but when I lay on it: I am not getting cauliflower ear am I :-(

Yes, I'm afraid you are getting cauliflower ear. I recommend you listen to a lot of your favorite music as well as birds chirping before it's too late. Oh, and learn sign language.

Wolff's law - repetitive bone stress causes bones to thicken. You don't need a bag - you can use a kitchen roller on them.

stop kicking yourself in the ear.
