I've wondered how many hundreds of hours of my life has been wasted watching commercials.

I avoid them entirely, by downloading my media through programs that are commercial free.

I don't plan on ever getting cable/sateliteTV. Its far too expensive and 1/3rd of every program is commercials.

As for the few commercials I do see, the DirectTV ads are the most retarded.

I'm in CT too and I hear ya on those commercials. I think the Silas Deane pawn shop commercials are worse though. Seriously, the one with the guy in the fake Asian eyes glasses yelling (over dubbed of course) about "Pawnzilla" eating the competition? I just want to burn their stored down every time I see it.



Edit: This was what I found on YouTube, but they definitely edited it. The backlash from the original must've been horrible.

This. I stopped watching regular tv because of those side effect commercials. 90% of the those commmercials is side effect.. the thing I dont get is why do they have to list the side effects in the commercial when in order to get the pills you have to go to the doctor who will tell you the side effects and the pill bottle/box will have the side effects as well.
