Anyone have any idea when American Vampire is returning? The last issue had a wicked ending, can't wait for it to start up again.

Got this for my birthday. Anyone read it?

I read a few issues. Not worth reading IMO. Messy plotting, just kinda boring.

Just finished both Blue Beetle's new 52 run books. Really sucks it got cancelled, it was just starting to get good. First book was OK, but second one was really starting to take off.

Now got all three volumes of Brightest Day, first one was good, now onto the second volume. Also got Days of Future Past, going to check that out as well.

Also thoughts on Tony S. Daniel?

Read one of the new 52 Detective Comics, it just seemed really generic Batman. Not the stuff that really stands out. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I hear he's been making really awful re-imaginings for characters (Black Mask having mind control, Freeze Origin, and Jokers face removal).

As a writer, I don't like Tony Daniel's storytelling. It's clich

Martian Manhunter is really starting to be one of my favorite DC characters. Every story or show that features him, he always steals the spotlight. He's my favorite part of Brightest Day by far, and his role is JLU was great.

i'm not seeing any discussion on Infinity so is it safe to assume it blows?

that usually happens when he's featured in team books, but his solo books seem to fall flat

although American Secrets is very good mini series worth checking out

I was thinking the same thing and have also posted before on how much awesomeness Infinity has been up till this point in time...

There is only a few issues left, #6 of the main title and I think 1 issues of New Avengers..

There is just way to much DC comics talk in this thread just about all the time.. I dont get it either because DC is really nothing special and Marvel is killing it once again.

it goes back and forth, and this discussion isn't just about the New 52 if you have read some of the post

Invincible Universe should be arriving soon for me. But I guess it isn't written by Kirkman? Not sure how I feel about this nonsense. Is Rob no longer writing Invincible?(I only buy the TPBs).

i Haven't read many of these threads. Well, any... but, does anyone have any opinion on The Manhattan Project?

I just read issue #1 and it was fantastic. Is the series worth a full read?

Currently reading Weapon X and I had a chuckle at this panel.

Invincible is still being written by Kirkman, it just so happens that Invincible Universe is written by someone else. It's more along the lines of Justice League, it's a team-up series set in that universe (replacing Guardians of the Globe, I believe), and due to Kirkman's other responsibilities he has passed on the writing duties to someone he felt capable, which he has done in the past with Guardians of the Globe.

Thanks for the reply!

Reading the TPB of X-Men: Days of Future Past and have to give it up to old school writers. They cram the pages with thought bubbles, and inner monologues, as if to say "oh you wanna read were gonna make you read!".

Most TPB I can finish in a hour or close to that time, so it's cool to read something that I won't finish after I pick it up for the first time.
