Finally got a hold of Atomic Robo.

I liked it better the first time when it was called Hellboy/B.P.R.D. Mignola and company have been covering this ground for years and doing a far better job of it art- and story-wise.

Anyone else disappointed with the new Hunger (Marvel) comic? I expected it to be much better than it is.

Haven't read it yet. Still playing catch up with all new and uncanny avengers and xmen and superior spider man

I'm looking to get back into comics. I most recently read Ennis' run of Punisher books. I'm looking to get into Batman, Wolverine, The Flash, Ennis' Fury and Hellblazer, and any gritty type books. I'm looking for suggestions on past story arcs to start with and new ones to follow.

There's a new one called The Wake. It's by Vertigo, issue #3 just came out but the first 2 issues are still easy to find. It's about a sea creature and the end of the world.

The current runs of Uncanny X-Men and All New X-Men are some of the best X-Men stories we've had in a very long time. Also, X-Men (all female team) just finished its 3rd issue and the art and chemistry was fantastic.

Also, the current run of Avengers and New Avengers are outstanding. Great stories, characters, and artwork.

My standard recommendations are:
Hellboy
BPRD
Powers
Invincible
Ultimate Spider-Man Vol.1 (full run)
Who is Jake Ellis
Where is Jake Ellis

The first page as some amazing recommendations from prod & Dragon

I started reading Irredeemable yesterday. It's pretty good. Was a little shocked when a baby was disintegrated.

The Boys, by Garth Ennis. It revolves around a perverted version of the Justice League. If you think Batman's insane, wait until you meet Black Noir...:icon_twis

So I just got the Crisis (Countdown, Infinite Earths, Final Crisis, and Aftermath) and Salvation Runs and a few Batman collections (Hush, Death Mask, Year one, DKR) are there any other books that are important to the DC or Marvel Universe?

Not sure if it is out in physical form since I read digital exclusively now, but I highly recommend DC's Injustice: Gods Among Us and the new Thor: God of Thunder as well which is a physical book.

Not yet. How is it? Better than SUPERMAN VS THE ELITE, I hope?

Whoa bro. SVE is one of the best ever put out.

I think you'd like it better, although there is one major plot hole.

Not yet, you?

Yes, I posted in the dedicated thread for it. It's really good. More adult, and better paced than a lot of the previous ones.

The animation looks sick. I might have to red box it.
