The Age of Apocalypse is EPIC and without letdown. One of the biggest and best crossovers in comic history.

j/k I missed Schism so I've only looked at a couple of W&tX-M issues. I'll pick it up based on your recommendation.
 
So after watching The Dark Knight Returns part 2. did Bats basically end up creating another League Of Shadows at the end? and if so, has there been anything else about that in other comics. seems like an interesting road.
 
If it's true to the comic Batman is the leader of a gang comprising the Mutants and Sons of Batman, which aren't really touched except for Miller's THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN, which nearly no one likes. And it's not as though they're heavily featured.
 
is batman noir worth getting? thinking about getting the deluxe hc edition since i have a giftcard for midtown comics
 
the new daredevil is excellent, loved the mental/phys battle between him and ikari; the person behind the plot wasn't a shock, but it was a diff use of the character which was cool.

From the description, unless you're a huge fan of Eduardo Risso, sounds like you might want to skip it.
 
Anyone read the Earth 2 annual yet? I was on the fence about Batman being in yet another title, but this Batman is a bit more "murderous" than what we're used to. Now I'm looking forward to seeing him clash with the other supes.
 
I'm skipping on most annuals because they're $5.

I read a review that said Bats isn't even there for a long time.

I think Dark Knight Annual might be better. There's a twist at the end which is pretty cool.

I only bought The Wake today. It's by Scott Snyder and deals with some mermans or some sea creature.

Well they definitely meant to dupe people with the cover, making it seem like it's focused on Batman which it isn't. But it does a great job setting up Batman's objective and just how different he is compared to the regular Batman. Or even the Batman who died in the first issue of Earth 2.
 
Yeah I read about it. It sounded pretty cool, Punisher-esque.

Have you read Lil Gotham? I bought the first digital issue and I thought it was okay. But then I talked to Dustin Nguyen, the artist behind it at a local con and I want to read all of them now. He was really cool and I want to support him.
