Excellent. Two of my favorite Wolverine stories.
wolverine is gay.

Has anyone read Secret Six by Gail Simone? The premise intrigues me, but I'm hesitant to read a comic written by a woman because I'm sexist like that.

http://marvel.com/news/story/20387/welcome_to_marvels_infinityEarth has been marked as an “Avengers World”, protected by Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and more from the deadliest threats facing humanity. A powerful and destructive race is on a collision course with Earth and the only thing in their path is the Avengers! But even Earth’s Mightiest Heroes realize the one hope of defeating this dire threat is to unite every great hero across the cosmos…because only with a united Avengers Universe is there any chance of survival!
With our heroes at the other end of the universe, who is left to protect Earth? Enter Thanos, the galaxy’s most ruthless threat and an unparalleled force of brutality who brings order to the chaos of life through murder. The greatest threat to the Mad Titan’s work—and perhaps the universe’s greatest hope—is something he created leaving no world safe. Earth’s last hope may lie in the hands of a man who can level cities with a single whisper: Black Bolt, king of the Inhumans. But can the fearsome leader of a race hated and feared by his world, lead his people against Thanos? If they fall, so does the Earth—and the entire universe with it.
that looks and sounds terrible, I hear Age of Ultron is one big meh! but I hear Superior Spider-Man is good, might check that out
I can't recommend Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet from the early 90's enough, along with Annihilation through Thanos Imperative from 2007-2010ish, for those of you interested in the off earth events in the marvel U
I can't help but be skeptical of Bendis writing the space books now though, compared to Abnett/Lanning and Keith Giffen, and of course the great Jim Starlin!

starlin's death of captain marvel is the greatest cosmic tale of all time.
i thought thanos quest was pretty retarded. it made the elders of the universe look like jamaican bobsled team. infinity gauntlet on the other hand was entirely epic.
it's too bad civil war was going on at the same time as annihilation. annihilation was a superior story in every single way imaginable. it also had one of my favorite moments in comics.
I mean I liked annihilation but superior story in every way imaginable? Civil War was deeper and had a bigger array of consequences.
civil war deeper? it was a shallow, contrived piece of white washed shit that tried to draw on the emotions of the real civil rights struggle. it was also poorly planned, written and executed. it had a shot at being a good arc based on the tagline, "who's side are you on?" but then they turned iron man into a lunatic bent on hunting down his own friends like animals. i doubt a single reader was rooting for the pro-registration side - meaning they completely missed their mark. and the consequences are irrelevant and are, in fact, an indictment on the storyline considering some were almost immediately retconned away (spider man/aunt may).
