Just read the entire Goon series. Started pretty light and got dark, but overall I really liked it. New issue of East of West last page though....

If you haven't read Elric: Ruby Throne and Elric: Stormbringer, then you really should. There's a reason Michael Moorcock has been talking this translation of the French comic up, saying shit like he wishes that he'd thought of some of the things the artists represent in the illustrations.

The cruelty, decadence and debauchery of the world of Elric and the Melniboneans is really brought to life. Not going to spoil some of the other acts of cruelty to come later, but to give you an example, at one point, a woman gives birth to a newborn, which is immediately ripped apart to read it's entrails. Human slaves are just things or cattle, to be used in any way that strikes Elric and the rulers of the empire's fancy. It's not gratuitous gore and sex porn like Crossed is, instead really setting the stage for the alien disregard that Moorcock tried to convey in the novels.

I read those novels when I was younger and with this new spin on it, it really does make you realize that the protagonist you rooted for is an evil fuck.

Exmortis is new one that is sky rocketing in price.

About the German nazis getting there hands on Frankensteins book and theRe monsters vs our monsters

Just finished Southern Bastards 11 and 12 and it is still kicking ass.

I stopped buying comics for a few months but I got the itch again recently and spent $60 catching up on most of the issues I've missed. It sucks to spend so much at once but it's going to be great binging without a month between reads.

Titles I'm currently reading,

Walking Dead
Outcast
Prophet - can't wait for it to return
Uber - hopefully Gillen is still attached when it returns
Southern Bastards - Get on it.
Goddamned - Only 1 issue in but I'm sold.
Low
Deadly Class
Black Science
Velvet
Fadeout - only 1 issue left :icon_sad:
Nailbiter
Manifest Destiny - I'm missing an early issue so I've been buying without reading for a while now.

I dabble in Valiant a little. Bloodshot and Ninjak are pretty sweet and fill the superhero void left in the wake of Marvel becoming a clusterfuck.

Anyone reading Rick Remender's Tokyo Ghost?

The shop I hit today only had the 3rd issue but I'll probably check it out when I can track down the first 2.

Where is Jake Ellis #5 came out last week.

14 months after issue #4...

I figured he gave up. I bought it reflexively, kind of wish I boycotted it.
Now I have to go back and read the previous 4 issues because I have no idea what the story is about anymore.

Bro... no East of West or Saga?

SB is amazing, but judging on those titles go get the collection east of west year 1 (they just dropped year 2 (issue 22 I believe) dec 5th), and no saga? Its pretty good imo.

I got tokyo ghost 1-3 dont know where they are going with the story but I do enjoy it, it just started off crazy in issue 1, and 2 and 3 have been in a really different direction then I thought it would go.

Bro... no East of West or Saga?

I read the first 8 or 10 issues of East of West. I plan on rereading them and catching up with trades soon.

I have I think the 3rd Saga tpb that I haven't read yet.

I also want to get back on Manhattan Project.

Is Manhattan Project still on going?

Robin War #1 was great. The art was alright and I loved the banter between Damian, Jason, and Tim. Tom King has been putting out some good stuff lately (Grayson, the Omega Men, Darkseid War: Green Lantern, and now this).

I picked up some blank variant sketches the other day. The first one is the 2012 Dredd on judge dredd #13, The joker from A Death in a Family story line on #23 of batman 66 and my favorite a Spiderman sketch on a Superior Spiderman #27. Also I'm getting 2 more Judge Dredd covers drawn but waiting for judge dredd #1 next week since it has a blank variant without the border.

How did you get him to do the covers for you? Mailed them in or a comic con or something???

So far I've purchased all the number 1s of all new all different marvel.

I've been reading them and will post which ones are good and which aren't.

So far Uncanny Avengers and Ultimates have had good first issues.

Extraordinary Xmen not so much.

I'll keep posting as I read them.

I get them sketched by an artist from the UK. It isn't anybody famous but he is very talented , he's a really nice guy and will sketch anything you want.

Oh dear gods, why revisit one of the shittiest arcs of all time, AGAIN? Didn't we just have a retelling in the Secret Wars Civil Wars?

Because comic book sales are in the dump and Marvel is desperate to relive some past glory.
